It does have links to some of their other games, and I know that some of those have pay-to-play options

So the point of this is to advertise their stuff that isnt f2p?

That would be the weirdest thing ever. An entirely self-contained advertising network that gets cash injections from only certain games on the network.
Quite awesome on the other hand though. All profits go to a single entity and the only cost for advertisement is simply keeping the f2p games up.

Leveling time for the boatmurderers!  Our choices:

Sponge: All weapons fully charged at start of battle  or  grenade

Jackolds:  200 initiative upon him killing an enemy  or   halves aiming penalty when firing successive shots, and reduces waiting time after firing by 30%

Maxunnel:  berreta or sparrowhawk (some kind of sniper rifle)
