This games horrible lack of balance is starting to annoy me. There doesn't seem to be any logic behind the team you're given to infiltrate in the infiltration mission. One of my armies went against a team with two low level guys. Easy stomp. Another of mine had to go against a group of 5 level 6 guys, with only 4 guys on my team and only one of them even level 4. Didn't have a prayer of winning.

Seems that a basic power-matching system would make things better. You'd always have at least a chance at winning, and you wouldn't get such odd mixes of teams to pick to go to battle with.

The officer occasionally buffs allied troopers - there are various effects, some of them affecting one guy (such as Solo Mission which seems to be amazing), some of them affecting everyone in an area etc. - and also has a couple of debuff effects that can proc on hit (making the enemy miss turns and such).

I have recruited the new trooper and unlocked the mission.  Upgrading sponge.  Choices: 20% of shots targeting him will miss , and he is less likely to be targeted, OR he can fire fire up to six explosive shells, which deal double damage.
Also upgrading our other guy, so here are your choices:
1 He can kick his enemy in the face during hand-to-hand combat
2 A Beretta
