Not quite got the hang of armor?
« on: September 07, 2011, 09:22:02 am »

The Bogeyman punches You in the right eyelid with its right hand, bruising the skin through the iron mail shirt.

Ah! So that's why I'm having trouble hitting anything!

your playing a dwarf, dwarf beards have the property of iron mail shirts and so they sometimes block attacks against your eyelids as the beards have a mind of there own.

300 human/elf/dwarf/goblin/kobold bodies 20 random animal/fish/bird bodies and 3 dragon bodies all in one backpack. fun stuff.

For the actual answer, mail shirts have an UBSTEP of 4 in the raws, which (for whatever reason) makes the armor cover (in addition to normal chest armor bits) your lower arms, fingers, toes and facial features, but not your hands. I'm not quite sure if it's supposed to work that way.

There proboly like fullbody(minus the hands of corse) chain suits. Like the sharksuits of today. Eather way if you needed to pick only 1 piece of armor go with a mail shirt.

the upstep token is a bit broken, it make armor expand in covering body parts in all sub parts i.e.,arms and neck by the same amount.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

It's either a bug or simulating an integrated chain hood.
