I realized that humans are too stupid to identify the different types. Oh wow. I feel like a retard for not noticing that. Well, in other news, we got migrants, 2 of which are children. One of them is a the first male in the fortress, a lumberjack. After realizing that my miners won't be able to tell the difference between stone types, I now have taken a risk assessment.
Spoiler: My conclusion (click to show/hide)

No pictures today, I'm going to take a bit longer before I give The Master the save.

It's been a bit longer. The fortress is expanding rapidly, and no signs of caravans or zombies. Savvy Jones, our first miner has started coughing up blood. I think I should start working on a hospital. Soon.

Savvy Jones's heart is suffering from the all the dust he's breathed in. He's coughing up blood, and very dizzy. He's in the new hospital, and only time will tell if he'll be alright. Our doctors aren't well trained, so Savvy could die if we can't get any soap.

Still epic. You should be honored that he mistook a great fort for the god of all forts. :D

A few days later, the doc says that Savvy is okay to go back into the mines. He still has his heart condition, though. It's a good thing we made coffins earlier.  :-\

EDIT: My word! It's worse than before! Savvy's not been given the okay, the doc let him work because he'll die soon!

Well, I've gotten the fortress off to a bumpy start. It's winter now, and I'm passing the save to The Master. May Bibo the Deformed save him.

While Wypie is doing his turn, I'd like to be human'd.

Name:G
Sex:M
Profession:Shotgunner(I dunno what the combat professions are, but I do believe there are shotguns in Corrosion)

I accept the Covenant, and will pursue it's completion, aware of the consequences.
