News: Well, we were supposed to run on a special core provided by an anonymous benefactor, however he has kind of disappeared, with his core. But now the tides are changing, me and Angel of Death have decided to turn this into a BYOND game, do not fear and cringe of the word BYOND, we will put all labor in it to provide a fun experience nonetheless.

Disclaimer: This may have nothing to do with america at all, the name comes from a word in a Meshuggah song i misheard.

Brave old Dev team of the MOO:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

News as of 9th september:
We got the game hosted on Johbson's machine, we could connect, with alot of delay, and then getting kicked off moments after, he stopped some bandwidth intensive processes, and the lag disappeared, however we still got kicked off all the time. He thought it would be a better idea to find a better host, so back on hamachi in prototyping stage. I am learning coding, and we switched to Lambdacore, the original site is down so we had to find a mirror. Now we got a working lambdacore server, and kind of remade our first world, with a few lacking descriptions here and there, but Angel of Death did a nice job describing the rooms, however we might need to set up a convention(no descriptions of populace in room descriptions etc.) for room making. We are quite inexperienced with MOO coding and maintainence, and some times the help files does not suffice, if anybody of you, have ever programmed, wizarded or even hosted a MOO before, and would like to participate in a project with a friendly and open dev team, you are an asset to Ameripain. In plans are damage systems, player crafting and even building, accurate anatomical models and creatures with realistic behaviors such as breeding and concurrence. Enviromental stuff like day/night cycle and enviromental damage, weathering, animals etc. are also on the drawing board.
All hail Ameripain

Hell/HATEMOO lost its interest for me after about two months, and while I'm not experienced with MOO programming I learn fairly quickly and have good grounds in basic languages (C, C++, Java, etc). I'm more of a back-end programmer myself, though I do have that occasional urge to be "artsy."

Its only up around 15:00 to about midnight in weekdays, danish time. Though, but its alright. We might already need a 24/7 host, if anybody wants to.

We need someone who's willing to host a 24-7 server. Currently, I'll need to log in at about 11 pm to be able to get in.

I've got a PC on 24/7 that also has hosting abilities, if that's good enough for you, I can do it. I've never played a MOO before so you'll probably have to walk me through pretty much everything but I can definitely host until you find someone better if you want. Speed should be decent enough.

I could help some with programming if you need someone else. I haven't done any MOO programming before, but I have some experience programming in C++ and Python.

The MOO code i have seen looks quite clean and easy to understand. It object oriented and coded online, so no fussing around with merging sourcecode! Its the easiest to learn OOP i have seen in a long time :D Should i put you on devlist?

There we got our savior! I will pack up the server with some simple maintainence utility written in Batch. The only thing you need to download is a MOO client or enable telnet if its not already on your computer. A MOO is sort of like a text based virtual reality but is used for games too. I am home in six hours. Thanks!!! :D :D :D

I think we may need a new host. Johbson's server is a bit crashy.

There are MU hosting services that can offer free basic development accounts and pretty cheap upgrades available for pennies. isunlimited.net is a good one I think, it starts with like 10 connections allowed but for $.90 you can upgrade to unlimited.
