And so, at the brink of the golden age, population rised beyond a number computeable by man, we were simply the largest planetbound population in the universe. Eventually we ran out of food, people became weird and started doing horrible things to each other, then started the Stupid Mass CleanOut Program SMCOP, wich was something about nuking.. masses of stupid people? Madness was sure when the rumors about dogs and cats flying off in spaceships came. Cannibalism, Recreative mass murder, Sickness, Famine, did i mention Cannibalism and Recreative Mass murder?
Its kind of something me and a friend are going to turn into a text based game.
So we got WinMOO runnning with LambdaCore, having various problems, its been lots of years ago since last time i coded in MOO programming language. And i really suck at building at the moment. Need some training.
We need some somewhat experienced MOO coders and people willing to build rooms for the game. The game's theme is going to be HellMOO esque, with our own twists, if you can take that its really ok.
What we want to do right now is get it working properly, wich we are almost done with, we have made a few rooms, but the @create command bothers us alot, if you could help us with that. Also we arent very experienced at room building so you might see hell of a mess.
We work in labeled weeks, currently its the setup week where everything is getting setted up, next week is prototyping where we will attempt to get some basic features such as combat into the game.
If you would like some fun coding stuff such as a map system, and helping us shape the player object (So it gets hungry, stressed, have skills etc.) We would be quite happy to have you with us!
PM me for the Hamachi details, if you want to host 24/7 for us, we would be quite happy, because we dont think people would like to join our hamachi and risk all kinds of stupid things.

News as of 9th september:
We got the game hosted on Johbson's machine, we could connect, with alot of delay, and then getting kicked off moments after, he stopped some bandwidth intensive processes, and the lag disappeared, however we still got kicked off all the time. He thought it would be a better idea to find a better host, so back on hamachi in prototyping stage. I am learning coding, and we switched to Lambdacore, the original site is down so we had to find a mirror. Now we got a working lambdacore server, and kind of remade our first world, with a few lacking descriptions here and there, but Angel of Death did a nice job describing the rooms, however we might need to set up a convention(no descriptions of populace in room descriptions etc.) for room making. We are quite inexperienced with MOO coding and maintainence, and some times the help files does not suffice, if anybody of you, have ever programmed, wizarded or even hosted a MOO before, and would like to participate in a project with a friendly and open dev team, you are an asset to Ameripain. In plans are damage systems, player crafting and even building, accurate anatomical models and creatures with realistic behaviors such as breeding and concurrence. Enviromental stuff like day/night cycle and enviromental damage, weathering, animals etc. are also on the drawing board.

Well now we got another coder on the program, a 24/7 host from Canada wich means more than quadruple the productivity! However we arent very experienced in MOO'ing, me and AoD got problems with making our personal characters wizards, we can do stuff like building and programming, but not in rooms created by other people, we want to eliminate the quota system and figure out a way to add player damage and such to the game, the damage system is going to be like DF but much more detailed and featuring vivisection, wich would make surgercial procedures ingame much more realistic, to gain for both the wannabe medic and gruesome sadist.
A kind question:
We got LambdaMOO running in Windows 7, on my laptop but only in when its day in Denmark, so Angel got problems with getting in, he has to get on late o night wich suits best for weekends, but weekend developement is stupid and slow paced, we want to be able to hop on and expand upon the game, when we want to, and for a future dev teams opportunity too. Just that you can host is good, its a MOO and requires minimal bandwidth, much less than any other game/virtual reality server. If you have a fair deal of MOO experience, its a bonus, but not strictly required, if you still want to be nice and have 1-2mb extra load on your ram (less than task manager!) its completely ok, we might ask you to do some server side maintainence, but if you dont know how to do it i will guide you step by step. If you do so we will owe you a favor(as long as its not directly detrimental to the MOO's existence, of course)
