You had to click the tiny 'show' button in each flute's box. Took me a bit to figure out myself. But yeah. Those look good. I think I'll take those feats over the next 2 levels.
Anyways. More RP.
Location: Azure Region, the wilderness.
Tobias watched the large black bird fly lazy circles through his binoculars. "She'll find him commander. She will find him."
"Your sure about that now?" Asked the man behind him. "I don't like leaving wounded Pokemon laying around the wilderness Goodman. It just ain't right. If you attack a Pokemon, catch it, or kill it."
The Lieutenant nodded. "I get this speech every time I go hunting with you sir. It has sunk in by this point. The damn thing is just cowardly and fast is all. My Pokemon will spot it soon."
"I hope so Goodman. Since when did you carry Pokemon anyways? Thought that brother of yours wasn't gonna give them back?"
"They are not mine sir." Toby shook his head. "I am holding them for Sergeant Cain until he has authority to carry them himself."
"The new Chaplin you found us? You said he was a personal friend."
"Yes sir. Same guy. I actually caught both his Pokemon for him in the first place." Toby Grinned. "Neither of them mind the arrangement all that much."
"He only has two of them?" The commander asked with a hint of confusion.
"Poor Cain's Pokemon have a bad habit of ending up dead. The sergeant never memorized the type chart, and battles with blind aggression. The only Pokemon of his that survived this long were the two that are damn near indestructible."
Suddenly the large bird loosed a loud cry and began to fly in a much tighter circle around a particular spot. "Found it sir."
So Lieutenant Tobias Goodman and Commander Leroy Brosky took off down the hill. The pair ran for several minutes until the large bird was directly above them.
Tobias poked his head through the bushes. Before him was a medium sized Pokemon, with Pink skin and a sharp venomous horn. On a large rock it sat, resting it's bleeding rear leg. The Neurons in the Lieutenant brain began to fire quickly, he had just seconds to act intelligently.
George's Snorlax Gluttony could easily pound the injured Pokemon into a thick pulp, however if the foe chose to flee it could easily outrun the mass of fat injury and all. Tobias himself carried a gun, but when one spends his days in the office, as Toby was prone to do, one's gun skill deteriorates significantly. Doing nothing and letting the command blow it away was also an option, but Lieutenant Goodman was quite aware that commander got a kick out of watching his favorite subordinate succeed.
Finally the officer looked up at the large bird above him and give a shrill wistle. "Lust, get down here and make the kill!"
With a simple nod the Mandibuzz swooped down to ground level. The injured Nidorino, perhap knowing that the battle for it's life was about to begin, rose to it's feet. The bird struck first, flapping it's wings with great power and conjuring up a small tornado! The attack found it's mark and struck it hard.
The Nidorino however remained standing and lurched foward, flailing it's healthy front legs at the bird, who dodge the first kick only to be nailed square in the head by the second.
Tobias pondered the situation before giving an order. "I think it's about to drop Lust. Put it away with faint attack!"
With a loud screech the bird vanished into darkness, only to appear a split second later and strike the poison type with it's wings. The Nidorino staggered back a few steps before collapsing onto the ground, defeated.
Lieutenant Goodman recalled the Mandibuzz and drew his hunting knife to finish the job...

"That was a good hunt today Goodman." the commander grunted as the armored SUV rolled back tworads base. "5 baby Nidoran and their parents killed. One Nidoran captured."
Tobias leaned back in his seat. "If I may ask sir, what are you going to do with that captured Nidoran? You already have both of it's final forms, correct?"
"It's a gift for my daughter. She turns 10 next week. I'm going to send it over with my alimony check."
For the next several minutes the only sound in the vehicle was the hum of the engine. Eventually however Toby spoke again. "It must be tough, to know that your child is growing up perfectly happy and well adjusted without you."
"It was for awhile Tobias, but ever since I lost that election I've been mostly over it." Tobias' head swiveled quickly, the Commander had never addressed him by first name before.
"Why is that sir?" Tobias asked, although he had a both sickening and joyous feeling he knew the answer.
The commander paused for several seconds, looking for the correct words. "You acted against your fathers wishes to give me your endorsement. I told you multiple times I had no objection to you supporting Pastor Cain, but you endorsed me anyway. After it was all over I lost the election, but you lost your father. You chose me over him Toby, and for that I consider you a son."
Lieutenant Goodman nodded. "I guess I feel similar about you Sir. I never could have risen as high as I have without your help. I swear to Arceus I will make you proud."
The commander lit up a ciggerate and placed it in his mouth before responding. "Just know that I take pride in whatever you succeed in Tobias. Quite frankly, in the long run of things, I think you will be a much better artificer than an officer."
"That is saying something Sir. Not every 20 something gets to be a Lieutenant and basically run an entire base. In all modesty I happen to be a damn good officer who barely got through Artificer trade school." Tobias chuckled.
The commander frowned. "Eh... perhaps I'm just being selfish. You deserve better than the military Tobias. I think you would be alot happier if you got out. In a few years I will have saved up enough money to retire and open a hunting lodge somewhere in the Middle of bumfuck nowhere. I guess I was hoping you would come with me."
Tobias placed his chin on his fist in thought. "I'll think about it sir."

Sergant George Cain sat at the Lieutenant's desk. Tobias had trusted him to do the day's paperwork while the Lieutenant was out hunting with the Commander. "I almost feel sorry for him." said George to nobody in particular as he stared at the document before him. "It's not his fault. Trusting a childhood friend is neither Naive nor stupid."
He sighed and pulled up the number on his cellphone. Once call to Team Ember and the documents would be leaked to the press. The reputation of Fort Ivysaur, and those in charge of it, would be ruined.
George closed his eyes and pressed the call button. After a few rings the phone someone picked up and answered in a deep voice. "Ember-Red Hotwings, how may I help you?"
"Umm... Yes. This is Judas. Gotta place a special order." Sergent Cain replied, identifying himself by his Alias.
"What's the good new's George? Preaching the word of Arceus to those men I presume? Seriously, it's been awhile. You had better have something good."
Sergeant Cain shook his head and paused for a moment before responding. "I'm just calling to check in, and to tell you that the Lieutenant who is running fort Ivysaur just gave me a key to his office. With any luck I'll have something big for you within a matter of days, or at the very least some information about the security systems."
"Understood Judas. Guess we ain't wasting our time with you afterall. Just find something quickly... boss ain't a patient man." With those words, the speaker on the other end terminated the call.
George swore under his breath. He would do his duty to team ember, and cause as much damage to the military as he could, but first he would need a way to protect his best friend, Tobias Goodman.
