Alright, some changes to the Work in Progress Soldier Class have occurred.

-My Gun damage has been nerfed

-The two soldier starting feats have been changed. The basic gun feat turned into a free gift like any other stage One Arms Feature. The Rugged Body feature I can never remember to use is no longer a starting feature. There are now two new starting feats for soldier.

Should I change my Feats now, or wait until a level up?

Edit: I also noticed that the Klutz feat has been changed. Now Molly *can* use items, and can drop them at will as a free action!

Since it was a change in your class, I'll let you go ahead and change it. Just run anything extreme past me before you take it.

Right. These are my two new Base Features, and the mechanic that goes with one of them.

Core Launcher - Blast
At-Will
Target:A Pokemon, Trainer, or structure
Core Launcher - Blast releases an energized Core that explodes upon impact, dealing 2d10+15 typeless damage to all targets within a 3m radius. This expends one Core Charge.

Mechanic: Soldiers are entrusted with state of the art technology from the organization for which they give their lives fighting for. The primary tool for numerous tasks is the Core Launcher, a multi-purpose, wrist or arm-bound device that processes energy into usable forms in a similar way that Pokemon manipulate energy into their attacks and capabilities. These units are capable of holding 3 Core Charges by default, which can be refilled at any Pokemart, Pokemon Center, police station, or military establishment for 500 per charge refilled.

Operating Funds
Static
Once a week, you are given payment of 1000 from your organization.

hmm, thought you were an ex-soldier though? You wouldn't still be getting supplies from the army. ;/

Launcher is fine I guess, but do be aware, walking around with A FRIGGEN ROCKET LAUNCHER is going to draw some attention.

I'm sure he can fluff it as something else. Like a grenade belt? :p

It says my organization. Not the army. That would be TGAC :)

I think it is a bit smaller than a Friggen Rocket Launcher. I envision a armband of power.

Edit: I do think I will have to play a bit longer to ICly justify suddenly gaining both of these feats. It won't feel right suddenly ass pulling a piece of high tech military gear or a salary.

How much was the gun damaged nerfed? Giving the class an AOE explosion energy attack seems a bit much to me.

The money I suppose is more reasonable, but GAC already said they wern't paying you guys. Having it sending out cash that way is a bit iffy as far as changing the economy I've been setting up for the game through pokemon 'science sales'.

Well, you could cut the amount by divisor of 2, 5 or 10. Depending on which one you want to do and how it'll fit it to the campaign...

It's only 1k a week. I usually make close to that in Pokemon bits per wild encounter. It's not gonna screw up your economy that much. Guns lost a damage dice and are now 2d10 + 17 + Lvl/5.

If you want I can keep rugged body instead. Rugged body still exists, it just isn't a starting feat anymore.

I guess I don't object too much to either of these feats. They still seem a bit much to give out to starting soldiers, but I won't know for certain how broken they are until they actually get into the game. So go ahead and work them in when you feel they work well for the rp.

Keep in mind that each Blast has a value of 500p per. Considering how much most people are getting...

Keep in mind my new Minun has a chance to recharge a device a day with it's Zapper Capability. Polaris could as well, but there is no way in heck Toby could ICly ask for that thing's help.

I'll cook up some RP reason for both of them when I get back from class tonight.

Yeah. It is. But finding stuff like that is a play-testers job.

<KujiUn> RioCadaro: can you recharge a Core Launcher with Zapper?
<RioCadaro> That is a good question and I'll leave that up to the GMs to be honest lol
<KujiUn> I see.
<RioCadaro> I personally would not allow it, or if I did, only allow 1 charge in a day
