The trade center of the new pokemon training craze that has spread across the land of Azure.

Azure is a civilized countryside. What I mean by that is that there are modern day conveniences like cities and such. But roadwork, advanced transportation, and powered flight are not a part of this world. It will be very similar to the worlds of the games, but with more wilderness between cities, and less clear roads.

Eh, why not. Kuji and Weird seem okay with it, and Monday is the rarest day for our extra session. :)

I'll go 180 from Desmond-a Ranger is very specific though-I hope we have lots of large wilderness areas to screw around in, or I won't be very effective. This is also assuming your allowiing melee to poke combat in your game.

4. Kathryn is a young woman of 24-her chosen nickname is "Tsunami". She had an ordinary, boring life growing up, but ran away from home when she was young...a combination of love and unyielding authority forcing a dramatic change in her personality. The love is long gone, but she has learned to embrace the freedom-and loneliness-of the open road, exploring and adventuring, and has no interest in settling down anywhere for any length of time.

These days, she's part of a group of travelling entertainers and part time scoundrels known as "Team Ember"...or to say, she was. A recent shake up in the power structure of the group has left her temporarily stranded, without even the small amount of money she needs to support her travels. She's decided to take a job, laying low until she hears from her contacts. She expects to get a few paychecks and then hit the road before they can find a reason to fire her...they always do anyway.

The few who know her describe Kathryn as charming, warm and a natural story teller-and naturally athletic, enduring and graceful, but she disdains overburdening her intellect, and has difficulty concentrating on things.

5.  Height 5.2, Weight 112 pds, Eyes: Green, Skin: White, Hair: Red
Kathryn maintains an immaculate form-a long cloak, feathered hat and two fancy short blades worn concealed on her slender hips-no matter how far she travels, her clothes and equipment seem to be in excellent style, looking good and remaining practical at the same time. She prefers the Dark Red colors of her gang-a bold statement, for a bold Woman.

6. Interview Questionnaire:

A.) Wolverine-I don't go down easily.
B.) Red
C.) Significant other. Mom would understand.
D.) Hat. A good hat makes the trainer. Especially if it's got a jaunty feather in it.
E.)  Invest it.
F.) My caution.
G.) I don't like to have to rely on others.
H.) Math? You have to be kidding me...
I.) A big Fried and breaded Chicken, swiss and, tomato sandwich with extra mayo. Side of fries, and a strawberry milkshake. When I get the chance to afford a nice meal in a nice town, I splurge.

Looks good D. :)

I believe we need around three more from either here or my other player sources(mainly the PTA forums), and we will be good to go for the 12th.

Sorry for the double post, but you wouldn't mind me running a Soldier, would you? (http://paradoxhaze.wikidot.com/soldier)

Edit: Kuji, I'm borrowing your Wiki and your Formatting for my character sheet. Your welcome.

I took at look at soldier, and compared to my own melee spec to it damage wise.

Soldier without gun proficency (1d12) would probably do less damage than standard melee attacks (1d8+4)

Soldier *with* gun proficency (3d20) totally outstrip Weapon Proficency (1d10+15), though I guess the minimum damage counts for alot.

Gun proficency vs Master Weapon (2d12+21) my average actually starts to match up to Gun Proficency, though obviously Gun max damage will be greater than mine.

Ah! But my weapons will benefit from stats, while guns do not, you say! Valid point.

In summary.

-Gun Profiency relies on a degree of luck, with the damage essentially being 3-60. Their average damage will greatly outdo nearly any other weapon, but mastery weapons are slightly ahead of them in that point. Gun Proficency also doesn't require anything by level five as a prereq. I loled at shotgun, though. 3d20 to all targets in a 10m cone? Cheesy. :P

-Non Firearms do less maximum damage-at the start of the game, at least. As the game advances and players gain stats, guns will in theory have less and less of an advantage since they don't gain anything from stats. They also have the reliabilty of minimum damage numbers. I'm looking at Lya, rolling three one's in the last session, for ex...stat requirments are fairly high for most of the weapons.

In short, I would approve it. Though it seems a terrible lot of damage to do at range so early-I wonder if there shouldn't be two tiers of Gun Proficency, personally.

Edt: Above information is likely no longer accurate.

I'm taking the class more for the background fluff and the extra stat min/maxing. I don't plan on grabbing Gun Proficiency for another couple levels at least.

Then you would do barely any damage at all.  :-\

That's why I think there should be three levels of gun proficency, instead of two. It seems without GP, your a bug-and with it, your amazing. There should be a middle ground, imho.

Maybe 3d12 damage the level five gun proficency, and 3d20 for level 10 master gun proficency? That would be more balanced against normal weapons, anyway.

S'up to GM, tis only my humble opinions, but I'm not worried much about an OP Weirdsound blasting away evil on our teams behalf.

As long as we don't face soldier NPCs. :P

I'll be doing most of my damage through my Pokemon. See the Artificer Type Booster Feats.

...On that note, think we have enough Dex Characters?

Feel free to DEX character away. :p

Weird: I DID tell you Soldier is being rewritten right now, so get ready to change your sheet at a moment's notice.

And whoopie. You do know there's a Source button, so don't click my Edit button. :p

EDIT: OH, YEAH! Rio did say something about the three tiers of gun damage. Lemme look it up.

Sep 02 16:15:43 <Oliver>   1d10+6 for User....1d12 + 18 for Proficiency.... and 3d10 + 25 For Master

There you go.

Right. Well I ain't actualy taking any feats and stuff until I get back from class. I have the background, Q/A, and part of the overview ready. Everything else is just a copypasta of your character at this point. (http://kotodes.wikidot.com/tobias-goodman)

And yes, I'll be sticking to my background even if I can't use soldier.

More baseline damage makes normal weapons look inferior in comparison, *but* after invested points into your primary attack stat, it equals itself out quite nicely. This seems a better balance. The break point is about a +7 damage modifier, where master weaponry starts to eclipse master gun proficency, assuming gun damage will remain statless.

Also, my main stat is Charisma. :P
