I just got a call from Kuji. He is leaving the convention early today and heading to my place. I can't speak for him, but that may mean he can play tonight.

Well, if Kuji does make it, we could have a full session rather than just a mini. Assuming everyone else can too :P

Well, I'm starting my D&D sesson in 20 minutes, most likely... >_>

I don't know how long it will run, but I'll head over here when it's done.

Whatever happens, try and get the party back together!

Yeah, I don't think this is going down tonight. Too many distractions, and while I did finally hear from Revolver over on the pta forums I've already made plans for this evening. So, we shall try and do this one errant encounter before normal start time on monday.

Ahh, seems like we are doing something today, yes? If we wanted to do something before Monday.

Actually, I have no real hope of playing today, but I'll show up to watch the others reattach the party back together and have the ensuing RP. !!Fun!!

session, session, session, session...

Does anyone have any idea what we are going to do? I'm about to say, if Haika doesn't want to pull some GM magic to help us out, we just SKIP ALL ENCOUNTERS-until we get back together. Because my team played like 45 minutes last session. The whole session. And, naturally, the 15 minutes Haika tacked on for us at the end of last week counts as our full 'encounter', for sure meaning the other team is up first tonight, as well. :P

Any one have a better idea?

Yeah. We have the combat unfit group (except for Tobias, but according to the last session...) and the can't see anything group. I think it'd save a lot of time and stress if we just skipped all the encounters.

*sigh*

Maybe I should just stop running the game, and we can skip everything.  >:(

The encounters are the meat and potatoes of the game. I set this up so that travel on the MASSIVE world map got 4 encounter rolls per hex. Each encounter can be difficult, easy, trainers, wilds, a building, a friendly npc, a bit of plot, or a prize, or nothing at all.

I TOLD you guys repeatedly that splitting the party was a BAD idea. Yet you all said going to do it anyway, and now, one session(two after tonight), or whatever into a split party that you all brought on yourselves you keep complaining. No fun for me to run a game where I am constantly changing things to keep players happy when they don't like what they themselves bring about...

I dunno... I'm ready for a session tonight, but I am NOT ready to skip all the encounters and jump straight to the dungeon and plot at the temple. My railroad to repair the damn team split was all ready to go for tonight, but no one seems to have any faith that I can still host an enjoyable game.

We will see how things go tonight. But I'm getting increasingly irritated.

Nobody *tried* to split the party. Rolf just put the group in a situation where it logically had to happen. Deb and Kat had to jump or break character, and nobody else had any good IC reason to follow. (At least that is what I think happened. I was offline when they jumped)

I trust you to fix it. I'm just saddened you didn't recognize the involuntary nature of the party split and move to fix it sooner. I don't usually like heavy handed railroading, expectantly in an open setting like you are running here, but it is pretty clear your players wound up in an OOCly painful situation just because they stayed in character.

Everybody did everything right (except Tar/Rolf :p) and the last couple weeks stank anyways. Shit happens. Stuff like this is the reason we keep GMs around.

At least we finally got a reaction from you. I thought you were ignoring us. :D

Yes, we KNOW it was a bad idea. And we all agree now, it was a bad idea. So I'm suggesting ways for us, as players, to fix it. I'm not even being critical of you as a GM, really. Just trying to figure a solution here.

...

And yes, I lost faith in you after last session-at least, that you would handle what I view as a serious problem. That's perfectly understandable, since you are not a hand holding GM.

If you've got better ideas, please communicate with us.

Pretty much. We were actually seperated by the giant tank building, and my team pretty much decided we needed to get the officer to the hospital in town right away. That didn't work out, lol. In truth, the party split happened so fast I didn't even realize what we had done till it was over...and then, of course, I thought we would at most be three encounters away from each other...heh.
