I know me and hitty40 got the house invite to work without being hearties, so some bug may have been going on then...

Also thanks for the tip quinnr! I'll have to do that.
No problem, I was obsessed with this game for the first half of the summer, at least. I was hoping to get enough play-hours in to get the Greeter status, but I never did :(
I had Master in at least a few puzzles, (Grand Master drinker, yay!) too.

Damn, I've been playing for a few days on Viridian and didn't think anyone else liked this game.  There goes my money I was making playing holdem! :P

I'll edit this once I make a pirate on Sage like everyone else.

I like Puzzle Pirates but something about it makes me leave for a long time

I remember when I was so good at the dueling game that I'd be able to compete with long lasting players often being the 3rd of 4th defeated on a full ship. (mind you that doesn't mean I am very good... but it makes you feel competent)

Anyone who needs to get to Admiral island get in contact with me, I managed to get there with hitty40's help and I can whisk anyone here who needs it.

Oh yeah, there are also Whisking (Whiskey?) potions you can buy that will teleport you to any island. They may seem a bit pricey, but they have multiple uses (9 I think) and it's much nicer to travel now that they exist.

Don't have to deal with your ship being in the middle of nowhere and not being able to get to it!

Not sure how much money I have left over, but if I can buy a Captain's badge (err, I think I spent all my money restocking last time I was on, actually). Make that if my crew has dissipated like I suspect it has, and someone else makes a crew, you guys can use my Fanchuan. (Sloop with a couple more people and large cannon ball).

So are we going to work to a Bay12 ship?

Aye.

To expand on this I posted earlier a summary of how much money we will need, but we are working towards buying a sloop and the captain badge we need to start a crew. I'm getting all of the skills needed to be a captain up to where they need to be so no one else has to deal with a puzzle they do not like. Should be roughly 60ish doubloons total or about 105,000 PoE as Hitty40 calculated. Between about 10 people we'd only need 10k each so it will not be that hard to get.

How would you guys like to handle donations for this? Should I hold onto it for us or would everyone just like to keep a tally of how much they have?

Roomates in a shack on Admiral and a treasure chest would work nicely, assuming you trust the people here not to yank all the stuff out.

I don't like Shacks, so after we have the crew set up, I'm gonna save up to get us a cabin so we can use that as a more appropriate base of operations.

I'm just saying as a cheap place to stick a chest. Once you have a crew you can buy a crew pirate hall that integrates with the crew, kinda.
