I'm Wydra on Sage. I had an account a long time ago, but I think it was deleted. I'm currently on Admiral Island, weaving.

Ok, that's what I thought (about the saving, anyway). Maybe I somehow wasn't on Sage I guess? I'll check that out. Either way, I've got a Malthyr on Sage for sure now.

Argh (not piratey, just frustrated), I think I just made a pirate, got about 2k pieces of eight from jobbing, then somehow didn't save? Do you need to actually DO something to save? And how do you figure out where people are going (so I don't end up just randomly taking jobs until I end up on Admiral?)
Especially with the money, you don't have to do anything. You CAN get your ship stranded in the middle of nowhere if you log off while it's sailing though, and have to repair, bilge, and sail it back by yourself. That's always fun.

You can check out the charts on the ship at the nav table, and I think if you click for more info on a ship it might tell you the destination as well. Until you have your own Sloop or other ship you can feasibly sail solo, I strongly recommend making Admiral your home, as it has a lot of people and you can use the inn there to buy ships at bargain prices.

The only problem I have with this game is that the better and better you get at it, the longer periods of time you're forced to play it. Particularly if you want to captain a ship, you have to spend a minimum of an hour to refill it, plan courses, wait for non-existent jobbers, and do a six-nine league journey. Not to mention if you're actually on another person's ship, where leaving in the middle is quite rude, but doable.

EDIT: And dusting. Going back after a few weeks to have every single item besides badges disintegrated makes me sad.

So... it looks like it's possible to invite people to your home from wherever they are. Does this mean someone with a home on Admiral could invite me instead of me having to make my way from Arakoua to Admiral?

Arakoua's way in the lower right multiple archipelagos away. I could do it if an invite isn't possible, just figured I'd ask.

If anyone wants, I have a Raidcall server up. All you have to do is put in the 'browse group' window 'Hitty40's Game Channel'.

IIRC from when I played earlier, you can take ferries from the docks to islands. Just island hop from there, I suppose.

Yeah you can take ferries within an archipelago, I just need to get from archipelago to archipelago. I'll just do that.

Thanks for the server hitty40, added information on how to get there to the OP.

Also just confirmed that you 'can' invite people from anywhere in the ocean to your house. So if someone has a house on Admiral Island please invite Denzi, I'll send invites out to anyone else who needs them then.

Roboboy and I just tried it and he got an access denied error. Not sure if you have to be Hearties first. I'm off for the night I think, but I'll try and catch up later.

Use the board and try to find a boat within the same Archipelago as Sage (forgot the name) using the /vwho command on the boat, I think it was. Then when they port you can take ferries to Admiral.

Should have worked, even if you weren't Hearties, I think. At least, I've done it that way to add hearties before.

I know me and hitty40 got the house invite to work without being hearties, so some bug may have been going on then...

Also thanks for the tip quinnr! I'll have to do that.
