This is flag name, not crew name. Flag is a big conglomoration of crews.

I don't see an issue with identification. Most people identify themselves and others by crew, not flag.

That being said, Boat Murderers is a bay12 reference, pirate related in a way that doesn't alienate others, and a pun.

i wish I could undo my vote. I now like Kraken Up or Boatmurdered better than Twelfth Bay, due in part to the compelling, if heavy handed, arguments.

Don't worry hemmingjay. I'll be running at least one more poll with the two leading names from this poll and the 'Those who hunt Carp' that seems to have caught on. Wish we had gotten all of these names in at first but it takes people time to think of awesome names after all. If you have any ideas for a name please do not hesitate to ask, even if it's silly. (How do you think Gummi Dwarves got up there?)

Seconding this, I was on Flotilla with Corneria last night and we both made easily 17k. Their ship has never been sunk and they're a friendly crew in general. I'm waiting for them to fill up for SMH right now with a few of our folks.

It would probably be a good idea to note down crews that we have fun jobbing with etc, since when we do form KRAKEN UP we'll need some.

New poll is up, will probably be the last one unless someone comes up with an even better name than what is up there. It's the top three from the last poll and the latest contender, should give us a clear winner given recent arguement.

I'll run the poll through friday probably, maybe saturday. If we get a roughly even poll I'll figure out some way to work it out.

Thing is though as a flag the name doesn't really have to be a name that makes it blatantly Bay12 related. Like someone argued before if they wanted to be involved in the Bay12 presence in the game most people would just join our crew unless they are previously invested in another crew. It's not as if we have two or three Bay12 based crews we are trying to link together. I am kind of the mind the name should just be 'good', not necessarily something that has to do with Bay 12 or puzzle pirates or anything, just a name we as Bay12ers can enjoy and a name that other people can respect as well.
