A fair warning to anyone who goes to use the cutter I bought last night. I hopped on just a few minutes ago to take it back to Admiral Island. I figured four leagues would be pretty safe with Swabbies. And I was right until we got within 20 seconds of Admiral island and a Fanchaun appeared out of the mists and added an indoor swimming pool to the Cutter.

So right now we're sitting at about 45% damage and 95+% bilge on the cutter. I apologize but I already tried to get the swabbies to work on it but they'd take forever it seems to get the damage down enough that bilging actually does something. Whoever runs the cutter next needs to make sure to max out the carp and bilge station for the first league or two. Won't take long to buff the damage out with the Bay12 crew, given we have a bunch of good carpenters and bilgers.

Damage and bilge will reset after about 30 mins in port if no-one is onboard.

There are a few puzzles I do not like.. Sailing and Rigging. I am not very good at them and I detest them.
Also I prefer to not do any carpentry, as I am a bit slow at that.

I am quite decent at Bile pumping tough, and it is one of the few Puzzles I actually like.

You DO know that you are going to need to have at least one other gunner besides me, right? Not to mention that I also have to fill in other jobs that need filling... sometimes more than one at once...
I'm working on gunning (and was gunning, sort of decently at least, last night with you) but I need a bit more practice. I'm still reading up on how a lot of the puzzles work, but I've watch dachimpy's gunning videos, so I just need some practice with the navy. I'm pretty good at carpentry and rigging, though, so that works.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Anyone wants to join the crew, our IRC has a list of the officers who can hire you, or you could pop in there using the link in the OP anyway so we know you're around.

I'll be on soon enough and I can do it if you're around.

Also , to see who is in the crew AND online, do /cwho Children of Armok

I bought some doubloons today and got us a Fine Pirate Hall on Admiral. Please check it out by going to 'houses' on the big map and heading to 'Sin City'. Once you get to the door there should be a small 'Enter Crew Hall' button. Right now it's only has a few chests in it but we could potentially get some gaming tables in there (it's roughly 2k PoE + 10doubs for any single game table)

I bought hearts spades and poker, but can't place them. Assume I need to give them to you, Denzi. Will look for you online later.

Now the proud owner of a cutter (Thankful Sardine) and an officer badge. I assume I need to talk to you (Denzi) for whatever it is is done to be an officer.

Carpentry is hard...they need to do what they did with sailing to it (alternate puzzle, Rigging).
I used my cousin to get my rank up when I played, she's good at stuff like that.
