So, what's the deal with earning doubloons? Is there an explanation in game? Ha... just read the first post more thoroughly. The last time I played was years ago, so I'm assuming things are different.

I used to play this, but I got banned for using a bot.  Never had much tolerance for duty puzzles. I'll join up again if there's a bay12 crew going, put my swordfighting skills to good use.

Why would you even play those puzzles then ? You could just do some of the many other puzzles in the game. I suppose you'd have to get the badges if you didn't want to pay for them, but it's still only ~45 minutes of puzzling to get enough to convert to Dubs to buy a Labor/Parlour Badge.

Try pillaging and not doing any duty puzzles. But that's just me, always liked the game more on principle than in gameplay.
