Eventually, when thinks get really...Fun.

I'm thinking of adding a new mechanism, Espionage.

Basically, you would generate a spy every few turns depending on how many spy training centres you have. A spy may perform acts of espionage.

All espionage actions would not be posted on the thread, but rather sent through the GM, which is me. When the turn comes along, I will PM the espionage actions directly to the player. The action will only be revealed on the thread if the spies are extremely sloppy, the affected players have good counter-espionage, or if its pretty much impossible to hide.

Thoughts?

I support this espionage.  Will it be useful at all against zombies?  Also, how well known is the zombie threat?

It could be useful.....If you apply it well enough.

Its only known to those on Madagascar and the Saudi Arabian higher-ups. Everyone else thinks its just a really contagious and fatal rabies-like disease mixed with smallpox.

The WHO has not yet done anything about the problem.

So that means I can't create an anti-zombie army composed of soldiers trained in both hand to hand combat and gunplay, riding on self sufficient motorcycles, wielding lances and swords?

You could, but your people will just think your crazy if you do it NOW. It would still seem somewhat crazy if you were to do it when the zombies are revealed to the world.

What I'm imaging is some sort of cossack-style military revival, based around a small, highly mobile force skilled in both marskmanship and hand-to-hand combat, including with a sword.

There would be penalties involved with that...

Also, I've thought up a new mechanic, National Morale/Happiness.

Your country has a percentage that shows the "happiness" of the citizens. The higher it is, the less likely your people will trouble you. The lower it is, and you can expect really Fun stuff to happen. If you piss them off too much, they might force an election or revolt if you declare yourself a dictator/king/emperor/etc.

This mechanism probably won't be as popular as the espionage thing.

Probably going to update soon. I still need the rest of Grey Guard Industries to respond or at least agree with Ghazkull. And the other nations as well.

A: Lower or Raise morale of the nation they are in.
B: Spy on Nations.

Put 3 credits into more research on those elements, hoping to utilize them eventually. Can I call that Project: Elementa mirum? (Didn't wanna have a boring name)
Put 2 credits into reinforcement of cereal, 'Wheat Marshmallows' which is a popular type in Scotland. I hope to produce more income for myself, which I will in turn use to strengthen the economy and morale of my nation.
Put 2 credits into Biogenetic Alteration research, hopefully speeding up the process.
