(creep already has the function of being an armour substitute-enhancer, your Glanders (i'll call them that) mix the two and spit it all around.)
fatherly= you know when to be nice, and when to be strict. and thanks to that your children fear you naturally. and obey your orders naturally. but a father also protect it's childrens. and you know it. very well.
you grow 2 spiked tendrils as a mean to attack and defend. they are proportional to your width in a 3:1 scale, for every 3 cm, they are 1 cm.
you decide to merge guard and scout together.
the next batch of eggs you wish to fertilize will have the hivespawn7 tag

hivespawn7= -13 food -7 filaments

I believe you mean, ACID FOR THE ACID GOD. We need acid blood.

acid seems to be the key to solving every problem. at least, it's what you think. since you begin a cellular transformation...which takes quite a while.

acid blood= when wounded, you naturally secern acid as a mean to keep melee fighters off. it's still rudimentary, and you do get harmed by your acid too, but maybe if you work on it for a while, you might get something not also auto-lesionist out of it.

who need mobility? you are next to a highly trafficked road, were most probably for a while government officers will go around searching for you, but you don't care. You make roots and are there to stay.
-4 filaments=roots (every day at the end of the day you earn 5 food)
you are harder to move, and you realize, as you absorb nutrients, that you have found another way to feed yourself. Maybe you could transform into a nice sunflower! you always dreamed of...no, you don't dream.
well, not at the present. abstract reasoning is still far away in the mental scale.
now...what are you going to do? you can't even go for a stroll anymore.

Create "slave" spawn. These spawn than can be directly controlled by the hivemind. They will be soldier hivespawn.

Lay a batch of 5 Slave eggs. Send them upwards and explore the above ground.

Use up energy to give us extremely basic eyes that can detect light. Equip the Slaves with this ability.

Ok, i'm slightly confused, what are the different castes again? 

Regardless, continue gathering more food from the ground, spend it to get more filaments to make yourself bigger, stronger and smarter.

Like a detached body extension, rather than a "servant"? why not.

Also we need to DIG DEEPER N' DEEPER N' DEEPER.

I need to call every hivespawn by a name refering to its function, or i'll be lost...
Hivespawn2 will be "Gatherer"
Hivespawn5 "Scout"
Hivespawn4 "Overseer". Since they are intelligent, they deserve proper names for each. First will be Overseer Primant

So we have Gatherers,  Scouts, Overseers, Acid guards and Glanders. Make more gatherers. Give each group of 10 an overseer, and keep for us some Acid bodyguards.
Keep growing in size, increasing mental and physical abilities.

all your spawn can be directly controlled by you. just, if you don't have enough mental, you'll have to "chain of command" them to an "Overseer" (terms of kaian are now approved)
and no, "scout" and "guard" have been mixed together. creating the "acid guard". but yes, you can also have scouts and guards...
it seems the "praetorians" basic version has been underclassed to "guard of type B" since there are now new ACID GUARDS.

you burn food for energy and lay a batch of eggs, four eggs.
-2 energy -1 filaments
the another one, this time of seven.
-2 energy -1 filaments
you burn food to gain energy...
-24 food +4 energy
and then, it's fertilizing time.

the cavern complex get's strengthened and camouflaged with foliage and grass...you didn't give that order though. it came from your first Overseer. Who comments meh, this is better right! you have such a bad taste for decorations! all creep and creep and creep! and NO EATING THE FOLIAGE YOU OVER THERE!
and a gatherer yinks away as he was trying to get a leaf to bring to you.
you are at the center of it all, deep beneath the bowels of the earth. (deep as a Cm thing can say "deep")
and it's churning time!
you create 5 gatherers, and another overseer to look over them.
you create 0 vanguards, as your personal protection.
but this is damn costly.
-6 energy -9 food -9 filaments
but you realize one thing: you need more filaments. you burn some food, moving the assembler line. to create what is needed.
-120 food=+4 tendrils
and energy
-6 food +1 energy
the five gatherers proceed to depart with the new overseer to gather more food.
but you realize that you can't produce the vanguards...you'll need to wait time. and food. and filaments.

20 food 20 filaments from the 5 gatherers, they work the double better than the fools
and the remaining
8 food 8 filaments that the first bunch of fools hadn't finished gathering.

and that's when you hear a series of big vibrations coming back.

they wait outside your lair, not able to enter...the slave you sent with the scouts have returned. The scouts unluckily did not. But the slaves have returned...
and you can hear the nice tale they churn out about ant nests and praying mantis, and small critters, and patches of juicy grass...and the food they brought you back is in the 5 zeros scores...but unluckily no filaments. you did tell them to grow.
+10000 food

...you have two oversized guards now. and they aren't that easy to camouflage.

Get the scouts to roam around gathering food for us. If anything really big comes by, they can take care of it. Also, our Overseer is kinda stupid.

Turn food into filaments and energy, become smarter. 

The slaves are bigger than you?  Interesting.  Have them use their larger size to haul rocks in order to reinforce the entrance to the nest.  Begin producing acidguards, apparently your basic soldiers, you need a military. 

The praetorians are the overmind's bodyguards, we need to produce them as soon as possible.  Even with our acid, our mouth, and our tendrils, we need protection. 

Once you birth some acidguards, have them patrol around the nest, and bring back information to you and the overseer.

I vote for creep to be called Amor/Love.

Spend some energy to gift yourself with extremely basic eyes that can detect changes in light and darkness.

Spend some energy to create an organ that is able to create the same pheromone of ants.

Upgrade scouts to be able to produce ant pheromones.
