No, no, no! We don't merely combine silly, we are mad scientists! We accelerate properties using the cores we can accelerate time or decelerate it or whatever time it. We can accelerate it's mechanics making it way more awesome at doing whatever it's meant to do and accelerate it's space (think 5th dimension rather than 1,2 and 3) component to make it do trippy shit.

So accelerate shoe's time so we can run faster and possibly fly by running so fast

Accelerate our hand's mechanics so we are much more skilled at using our bodies

And finally accelerate the space of melissa's tail to make it do trippy stuff, like a glow in the dark tail or a really SEXY tail  :P

The *cores* accelerate things when you combine them with stuff. I don't think we can control how.

Obtain fabric of time and space. Dump paradox cores on it. At least a thousand.

Watch everything in the universe become batshit insane.

Yar, but now we just completed that bit of research we can decide which of 3 aspects to accelerate (time, mechanics & space) and make guesstimates as to what will happen when you do a certain aspect (we are 80% of the way to understanding the cores after all)

No. We have figured out that those are the possibilities but not how to influence which one happens.

Here is a useful list of properties of the cores.

1: You can't control what happens. Risking your hand or Melissa's tail or just plain using it on living creatures is absurdly dangerous.
2: It can range from basically harmless to absurdly dangerous.
3: It's a sphere.

You decide to see what happens when you combine it with your shoes. With trademark signs of the Space Aspect, it transforms itself. When you put them on, you suddenly teleport. You stumble around in a busy street, clutching a M16 in a strange black suit with a gasmask. Shaking your head out, you realize you are in New York. The Empire State Building towers over you and people walk past, seemingly afraid of you. This reminds you of a game, but you can't properly remember it... you just remember something about a guy called Wilkerson who is part of some organization called Blackwatch...

Wait, Wilkerson is you.

You are Wilkerson! You just quantum leaped into another world! Wow! This is amazing, this could be so interesting!

You clack your heels together chanting "There is no place like home, there is no place like home..."

Before you can even finish clacking your heels someone picks you up. A hooded individual has a death grip on your neck, choking you. Oh God. You are going to die. This was a bad idea. The hooded guy is about to slam you into the ground when you suddenly feel a sharp stab in your head. Time slows down, and you feel much stronger. You separate the guy's hands from your neck. He barely reacts. You roundhouse kick in him in the face, then uppercut him and finally dispatch a kick to the man's family jewels. He yells in pain in slow motion, and time speeds up again and you feel less strong. You realize something. That must have been the Paradox Core! Whoa! You managed to make yourself practically invincible but... your head really hurts. The man falls over and lets out a death rattle. Several civilians run over. "Holy shit, that guy killed Alex Mercer!" Someone yells.

Oh yeah, the game was Prototype.

You suddenly go back to the regular world, and you wake up on the couch. Wow, that was amazing. You have an aching desire for a printer.

Disect a core and determine the source of its replication ability.
