AMD Phenom 8550 Triple-Core Processor (~2.2 GHz)
3,5 GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 3400
500 GB, 90 GB and 10 GB hard drives.

Newer games run fine as long as resolution and all graphic settings are set to low and AA and Anisotropic filtering are set to off.  ::)

Pentium III?

Also yeah, this sucker has been through a whole lot. It ran Windows 2000, XP, and later Linux. I also added some hardware in 2006. I was thinking of having it replaces with a MacBook a while back.

Lancool K58 Case
Intel Core i3 530 CPU @ 3.5ghz, 1.2v
Gigabyte H55M-UD2H mobo
4gb OCZ Gold RAM @ stock
Xpertvision Geforce 9600GT 512mb graphics @ stock
Corsair VX550 PSU
2x WD Green 1TB
2x WD Green 2TB

I used to have a Radeon 4870, then I realized I wasn't playing games and it was burning 75w of power IDLING. The 9600GT is still a hungry bastard, but I don't have anything else that can render 1080p 10bit H264 with madVR and not turn to shit.

I don't really give a shit about upgrades anymore. What little money I have is saved for future hard drives.

Remeber that solely MHz-based comparisons are often rather inaccurate; newer processors tend to be able to do more clock for clock. This means that, since the Pentium III is very much a legacy piece of tech, your CPU should at the very least not be significantly worse (and it probably is a fair bit better).

Bastardized from Speccy hurp durr
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The godawful CPU is due to the horrifically old motherboard, which in turn is due to the fact that Dell chose to make the GX280 a non-standard case. That and I'm too lazy to upgrade, since I can just jump on my partner's computer if there's something I can't run ;) Practically the only thing that's worth a damn is the graphics, and that's getting rapidly dated as well. It would be depressing if most of the games I play didn't have to be slowed down to run properly.

Corsair 700D Case
Corsair 850HX PSU
MSI 790FX-GD70
Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.8GHz
Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme
2x 2GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz
2x ATI 6870 X-fire
Corsair Force 60GB SSD
5x Samsung F3 1TB

Overall happy with it, wish I'd gone for an i7 as I could afford it at the time. Crossfire is working very nicely for me, no complaints at all especially as I got one of the cards half price. Worked out great in terms of price:performance. The case is lush, makes full size ATX boards look tiny, check it out:

1.25 GB DDR1 RAM
ATI RADEON 9000
40 GB HDD
No perspetctives for a better battlestation in the coming 2-3 years.

EDIT: oh and if it runs anything that's 3D and older than Morrowind, the graphics card goes an hero from overheating/being old after 2-3 minutes of playing.

Intel Pentium D 2.80Ghz dual core
4Gb DDR2 RAM(on a 32-bit system though)
Nvidia GeForce 9500GT 1024mb
232Gb HDD
Windows XP SP2

I intend to upgrade to windows 7 sometime, legit copies are just so damn expensive though. I also need more storage space and the graphics card, though it's actually surprisingly good for a budget card, could maybe use an upgrade.
