Hello, let me introduce myself, I am Mark and a big fan of Dwarf Fortress and ToadyOne and I am playing the game since 2006.

In the last days, I saw many threads complaining about the lack of an update. Don't worry, I can tell you that the new update is going to be released within this week.
Maybe you ask yourself how I do know this? It is very simple.

There are a few clues ToadyOne gives us and in my experience, the main clue is the fact that the main page wasn't updated for longer than a week.
This is also called "pre-release silence".

So don't worry guys, I am sure that we will be able to summon our own army of dead elves within a few days

I'd imagine it's more likely he's been silent on the devlog page due to being stuck in a hotel during the hurricane and travelling a bit.

Allow me to award you one gloriously sized lol for your attempt to get people excited, only to fall silent when nothing happens.  Successful troll?  Doubtful.  This community is unique in that (most) of the impatient masses stay silent while those of us who know and enjoy the game are content to wait and don't follow such baseless ramblings.  Where is the ‼science‼ supporting your claim?  What proof is there that our irrational dwarf minds can utilize and weaponize?  "Nothing has happened" is a rather poor argument.

Also, a quick wiki search reports that the first release of DF was in late '06.  You've been playing the game since it was first ever released and you're JUST NOW making an account?  Really?  REALLY?

The only thing I care about for the Update-AT ALL-Is that it's Backwards-Compatible.

Given the number of changes, it is highly unlikely that the next version will be 0.31.26 - it's far more likely that it will be 0.33 or higher (Toady himself has stated somewhere that there have been enough changes between 0.31.01 and 0.31.25 that it should have become 0.32.xx by now).
