Can blizzardmen die without a axe, sword, or spear?
« on: September 01, 2011, 11:48:32 am »

My militia commander and 2 giant war eagles and a dog have been fighting it for 5 minutes and he cant get his axe because of the blizzardman is near the wagon and he just rushes the blizzard men. Hes losing stuff thats pretty much stuff that isnt very attached toes ears... hes ebaten a dog to bloody death.

Pretty sure all my dwarves are going to die of thirst now. The blizzardman has every part of its body broken.

Well its technically possible for him to beat the blizzardman to death (by crushing the upper body, lower body, or head), creatures that don't bleed are extremely unlikely to be killed by anything short of a legendary dwarf in such a way (and even then its pretty unlikely) so he will probably die of thirst or hunger first (this could be avoided by un-drafting him so he runs away before he dies that way). Do you have any miners or woodcutter around? If so then draft one of them and they should keep their pick or axe which should make short work of the blizzardman.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!
Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - A fun zombie survival rougelike that I'm dev-ing for.

Drafted the woodcutter 5 minutes after i posted or so and then he took a few strikes. ALl of my dwarves were going to starve if i hadnt done that he was too close to the wagon.
