I vote for a gaslamp world. Crap. Let's take a paranoia-style post-apocalypse world.

Indifferent on character

Style: Mechanical
doctrine: Superior ranged armament
sec. Doctrine: battlefield improvisation

I like going all out Steampunk.
Seconded.

Indifferent about name/gender

Setting: A post-apocalyptic nuclear desert, where a few giant corporations who've hoarded superior technology hold sway over the remains of civilization while struggling for dominance. Magic is rare, but powerful.

Style: Magitech

Doctrine: Decentralized Command Structure or Mobility
Doctrine: Shock and Awe

Supported my meh

It is ineffecient, will accomplish next to nothing, and is complete overkill. It will also probably not work. In other words, dwarfy.

1) Gender: Male
2) Name: John Smith, no name, the 'man' stole it!
3) What kind of world do we live in? Once every 12 years there is a zombie outbreak. The source is unknown but the event always seems to scale to the available resources, with unarmed civilians facing shambling corpses which decay to uselessness after a time a time and modern military forces facing former citizens that can spread their condition with a sneeze and defy physics in order to continue attacking until their brain is pierced. It is believed that their infectiousness is based upon available armour and there is evidence that people have contracted the condition, after the initial event, in what should have been completely sealed environments.
The initial events are always instantaneous, generally convert entire communities at once, though generally do not destroy cultures, and seem to scale their size and distribution to account for populations.

Mother computer loves us all. If anyone resists mother computer's love, we will report them immediately and be glad that they have been taken to a better place.

3) Style: Overwhelming numbers
4) Primary Doctrine: Mass production (preferably with cloning)
5) Secondary Doctrine: one-way mobility (teleportation, re-entry vehicles, catapults...)

All right, it's the Desert. Adding details to opening post, then map time while you decide your Style/Doctrines, though it seems Style: Magitech with Discipline: DecentCommandStructure or Discipline: Mobility and Discipline: SHOCK AND AWE will likely be our thing.

I'm fine with Magitech.

Decent Command Structure sounds boring- what does it provide?  Can I assume SHOCK AND AWE is basically the equivalent of the real thing?

Shock and Awe is more or less exactly what it should be; Decentralized Command Structure allows your soldiers to take the initiative and Make Things Happen on their own when they have opportunities, but I'd probably recommend picking it up later or at most as a secondary at the moment, since with 15 soldiers your command structure isn't terribly cluttered yet.

Shock and Awe, by the way, would be much more effective as a later-gained Doctrine when you have more forces, but it isn't nigh-useless now like Decentralize Command Structure would be.

I was basically thinking of a more guerrilla type force when I made the suggestion- swoop in, Fuck Shit Up™, and be gone before they knew what hit them.

Fine, Pandar, I'll be serious.

Style: Superior Soldiers
Primary Doctrine: Superior Training
Secondary Doctrine: Mobility

Guerilla forces, like HailFire said. We can presumably spec up later for the increased size army.

Also, nobody for a Space Conquest? Think! The whole galaxy to conquer, and a self-consuming empire to claim it from.
