How the hell would this work??

Okay so, I'm working on the fortress I created today. I have a up/down staircase that goes down to the caverns deep below where my dwarves live. After playing for a little while I get the notification that a Forgotten Beast has came. Now, the form of this thing baffles me, it's "A great blob composed of water, It has wings (wtf??) and it has a bloated body. Beware of it's deadly spittle!"

Why the hell would a blob of water need wings?!
I understand that the Fb generator is random, but this, THIS is a little too much..

I understand that the Fb generator is random, but this, THIS is a little too much..

You've got to remember that it's a magical blob of water. And besides, if it didn't have wings it would just be a big leaky bag of gross.

Well, see, it's legs are pretty short if it has any and it DOES have a bloated body. How else should it get around but with wings? Sheesh.

Now, if you kill it over magma do you get a stone or two?

That's what I love about forgotten beasts, they're so random that they're impossible to imagine. Nobody could ever think of a thing like that.

I'm not exactly sure. I surprisingly haven't found any magma yet, nor did I kill the beast. It's still wandering around in the caverns somewhere..

I look forward to the f.b.s made of booze and water that can actually be put in barrels and drunk after being defeated.  Also the ability to safely collect deadly dust and deploy it.

Do I even have to say? It's a damn water blob, do you think it's dangerous? No. Just shoot it in its deformed face.

But yeah, seriously, a non-lethal shot to a frickin' finger will kill water blobs and skeletal creatures alike.

I don't understand why people throw advice and suggestions when the thread clearly never asked for any, nor showed any confusion as to how to handle the thing. It simply wanted to discuss the implausibility of such a creature being able to exist.
