Turn 32

     You develop a pressure-based muscle system to help move your combat tentacles! After all, what good are they if all they can do is flop around like a real pseudopod? A short search reveals several heat-sources dwelling within the algae. One of them is almost half your size and is moving around at a slow pace. After signalling to your ephyra to follow you, the two of you swim down to investigate. As you glide into the algae, you think you recognize the creature hiding in the algae. It looks somewhat like a translucent bean, but sports several articulated limbs with which it moves about on.

     Following in your lead, the ephyra helps (STAB STAB STA-) take down one of the little ostracods hiding in the algae. Unfortunately, one managed to evade your blades and made a hasty escape following the initial surprise attack. You split the kill, taking the lions share of it. After all, you're a growing eldritch abomination, you need to keep up your strength. Besides, the little bloke probably doesn't need much to subsist upon anyhow.

     It seems that your swift attack scared off most of the smaller creatures, but your meal should hold you over for plenty of time. Not to mention all the other ways you have of getting nourishment.

I don't even know if it's actually an ostracod, but it's definitely something I saw under a microscope. Also, try to decipher the image.
