Maybe Red versus Blue would help...

Turn 28

After you finally finish hooking up your Data Processing Units to your Laser Focus, a massive surge of energy courses through your new wiring, leaving Lifespark slightly stunned. After the light subsides, you find your reflexes to be greatly improved, as is the transfer of sensory information. Although not perfect, the system of light information transfer is far superior to your previous system of chemical messaging. For now though, you still use chemicals to store information, if not move it. Satisfied with your new connections, you take a quick review of yourself. A stir comes from within, but you feel like it's too soon to release your ephyra- it hasn't yet finished its development.

A glance outside reveals that a dim light is now shining from above. With it comes a steady warmth. Ice all around you is beginning to show signs of melting, revealing cavities in its uneven surfaces that were previously hidden. Ahead, and past the chunk of ice you are on, is a large mass of gently-swaying pinkish-tinted mass. It's kind of hard to distinguish from what's around it, but it goes on until your vision gets blurry... at least more than it already is. All around you swarm organisms only a fraction of your size - reminding you of yourself not so long ago -awoken from their slumber by the heat of the newly warmed waters. It is horribly inefficient to try and hunt such small morsels. Instead, you devise a sticky, gluey, and somewhat digestive chemical that coats the inside of your bell and several large flagella around your mouth. Every few moments, you retract a flagellum and scrape off the food-rich gel. The gel is then recycled and secreted from the flagella again, minus the snacks. This new source of nutrient intake is already starting to help, offsetting part of the new drain of light-powered information transfer. You begin to swim towards the gently undulating mass as the light continues to warm the waters.

I assume we are the spiky jellyfish?

Eat some more pinkies.

I agree with eating more pinkies, however we need a new weapon system soon. whether between mental weaponry (Out think your enemy) or laser torpedos [not really]

Wow, this is really nicely written.

Also, We should develop a laser range finder (bounces a laser and measures how long it takes to return, probably by interference with a laser bounced a known distance), instead of normal passive vision.

How about laser guided torpedoes?

And I say we should view the world through the entire electromagnetic spectrum. That way, we see everything.

Just to clarify, the pinkish stuff is plants or plant-like life. It is cold, but not as cold as the rock around it. The picture didn't come out as good as I wanted- I'm still trying to get the style I want for infrared.
