How about we first change put cell wall to be slightly different structurally then your average cell wall, then have an enzyme that digests the normal cell wall. We can just spread it around in the water, lure the other cell in, and watch as it's cell wall disappears and it's cytoplasm spills out. Then we can eat the cytoplasm and any other goodies the cell had inside of it.

Our cell wall is already different from the membranes that everyone else uses, but we want to be careful about spreading too many grey-goo and radioactive fall-out category enzymes about...

Turn 13

As you huddle underneath the mass of fungal cells, you can only hope that the amoeba doesn't find you while you work. Salt is decided against as too dangerous for now, so you begin the production of your enzymes. You move one of the flagella to the front of the cell and modify it with some Amino Acids to function as a delivery system for your enzymes. The two cells on either side of you begin churning out two types of enzymes and storing each in a vacuole. One enzyme breaks down the proteins of organelles while the other breaks down cellular membranes.

You finish the DNA/RNA labeling system and apply it to your enzymes: you label the enzymes so they will not attack anything labeled as "you". The enzymes now will not bind to proteins containing your chemical signature (making them harmless to you).

You notice that the amoeba has been combing through the fungus methodically looking for its prey. Even now, it is working its way towards you with its probing pseudopods.

Lie in wait until the amoeba is nary upon us, then spray/stick our adversary with a copious amount of the membrane-breaker. As soon as he reacts, appear to flee into the fungus, then circle around to his rear flank and hit him with a dose and make organelle-oatmeal!

Here's how I summarize that:

Oh, just to clarify: the membrane eating one can be injected or sprayed, but the organelle eater only functions when injected or mixed with the membrane eater (the cell membrane protects the organelles from the enzyme).

Here's how I summarize that:

Ambush time.

Pretty much it - hit it with everything you've got as it comes nearby via injection

Turn 14
As it gets closer, you prime your membrane-eating enzymes for launch. You wait until one of its pseudopods touches you, and then you spew the enzymes in its general direction. The pseudopod that detected you bursts, releasing all the cytoplasm inside, and the enzyme continues to eat its way up towards the body. While the amoeba is preoccupied with its rupturing membrane, you speed around behind it and attempt to inject it with the organelle-eater. Unfortunately, your injector cannot puncture through the calcium shell of the amoeba. As you frantically stab at it, it rotates and grabs you with multiple pseudopods. You are being drawn towards the underside of the amoeba.
