I'm fairly certain we established long ago that we weren't in any kind of drink.

Also, we probably don't have the resources to become amphibious or land-dwelling. That seems like a pretty serious shift in bodily workings to me.

Holy shit, this game is still going? +1 internets to OP! <3.

Inspiring. I might attempt once more a forum game, but terrifyingly minimalistic.
It isn't.

Some players just haven't noticed yet.
I need to remember this trick. It actually seems to work.

We're a small squid. Why would we want to get out of water. Staying in the oceans is much more fun. As for where we are. Probably in semi artic waters, as evidenced by the ice.

Make gas-sacs filled with lighter-than-air gasses; become air-squid-thingy.

The green thing is edible - it seems to be a torn off strand of algae.

The ice has long since melted in your now-warm environment.

Assimilate it. We can recycle later if needed.

You scan your vicinity for the nearest bit of algae. Because food is the most important thing to find right now.

There seems to be a large chunk settled on the bottom nearby.

Grab it and go on ADVENTURE! Just swim away from the decreasing water levels, if not somehow use magic luck to evolve oyxgen resistance.

We have chloroplasts... I think we have oxygen resistance already.

How about growing generally in size?

Y'know, we could just be in a large ship's ballast tanks. Life gets transported all around the world through those things.
