I want a project too!

Initiate Project Stormtrooper.  Design a new set of full body armor capable of withstanding zombie assault ( not to mention conventional threats, like bullets and knives ) and start drafting all males between 18 and 25.  They must be trained and equipped as best as humanly possible.  Contrary to the project name, I actually want these guys to be good, well armed soldiers.  Ensure discipline, organization, and effectiveness.

Seriously, you better not make these guys incompetent to the point where they can't shoot a lumbering corpse at point blank range.  Oh and I also want them to have dogtags, that way they have names instead of just being zombie fodder.

Johnfalcon, our characters don't know about the zombie virus, all they know is that there is a situation in china and there are rumors of a new strain of rabies.

I'll join in, and I'll take Norway.

Then, start changing gun laws to be more lax. Begin Project Nobel: Retrain military forces to use semi-automatic weaponry and to fire as a whole, 18th century line battle style.

>Germany tightens controls at it's ports, airports and road checkpoints. Covertly ask China for "samples", so we can begin to study it. Request a overland transport from Russia through their country, under heavy guard.

Research is done in a self sufficient fifty foot underground bunker that can only be opened or closed with the Presidents direct order.

Continue with the Difficult Deal for the country.

Attempt to restructure the intelligence apparatus, with a focus on inter-agency cooperation and trimming bureaucratic nonsense. Just because the world looks so nice right now doesn't mean it'll stay that way. Especially with the US no longer willing to be a hyper-power, we can't be caught flat footed.

(I'm assuming that all of my spies have failed thus far and have no word of any one's special projects)

Standing orders to UN: Veto any action dealing with nukes.

Release the vision for the new military, one that will continue o be able to project overwhelming conventional force anywhere in the world at short order, but not one that is especially suited to nation building. Soldiers exist to take ground and destroy threats.

Should I make my own intel checks, or is President Strife still not noticing that all the other powers seem to now be held by crazy types?

I wouldn't say my character is crazy, he just has an unhealthy obsession with space travel and nuclear fusion =P.
