I'm curious, I thought I was role playing my country correctly. How are my projects not sane?

Japan isn't legally allowed offensive weaponry, and I can't think of anything more destabilizing to the world's balance of power than Metal Gears. Now, to some extent, it's me getting annoyed at the actions in this game, but on the other hand, I think that avoiding that sort of project would justify this sort of war, considering that it's not even a question who'd win, US losses would be minimal, and Japanese forces would be roughly equal to those that fought. Japan's uniquely suited to not be able to stand against the US, with our large bases already on their island, and total dependence on the sea.

well, after all we can just wait and see how everything turns out. even if it goes to worse, it would be just like playing in a SINE REQUIE roleplaying campaign.
i want the blond nazi valkyrie though.

And then the US gets an enormous public backlash over it, then the UN dissolves and then WW3 happens and we can blame that on the US.

Politically, the best action here is to embargo them though UN saction.

Now the possible dissolution of the UN is an interesting question, personally, I'd be a fair bit more concerned with NATO breaking up, and as we've got NATO countries as player characters, there's nothing to require the alliance to hold together. When NATO falls here, I could fully see the UN collapsing as well.

The world would quickly end up in a tricky place, with eight members of the nuclear club (two at the end of the world power, and five at the seriously fuck shit up, with the last three being mostly meh, all things considered).

I couldn't shove anti-Japan sanctions down the UN's throat, and I doubt that anybody would care in game at simple US denial of trade (although that'd be a not inconsiderable blow to them).

just remember, if economy falls, the incredible backslash will affect and cripple, more than already civilized countries, the countries who are in the process of getting industrialized. so india, china, and the like would suffer incredibly (it's the reason why at the word of bankrupt america china went in a "you need to spend youl money wisel! we have half youl debt, if you go LED we go DOWN" ) but don't worry, canada will keep having mug imported in by italy who exports obsidian from the vesuvio to canada. So, be happy! economy will be obsidian-mug based!

Ah, sorry guys... I've been accepted in a project I wanted to be in for three years (it's basically the best news I had in 2011... I'm really happy :) ). It's gonna take a lot of my time, and while I won't stop going in these forums and having other activities, I won't be able to GM a game.

Especially not this game. So I'll stop working on this. Sorry, again. If you want to make another game on this concept (I suggest a player limit), sure, go on.

Awww.

But I seriously find it funny that while the Zombie infection was starting people were concerned with POLITICS. Hell, I reckon we'd have all nuked each other by the time Zombies were really starting to get dangerous.

Someone needs to GM a game about World Politics.

Errr... I was going to search for his name to fix it.

Also, thanks for immortalizing my mistake and giving me eternal shame for that spelling mistake.

Also I hope someone decides to run something similar to this.
