Yeah...assuming we'll eat about 50 pounds a day for all 10 people...assuming trail rations will be baked flour at $0.10 a pd, cheapest we can get...and assuming we'll carry enough at least for a month...

Erggh, I did forget water- Along with alchohol. Luckily for you, Mrs Dryman has a large ceramic water cooler in the second wagon. Ain't she a darling? It holds about enough water for a week, more if rationed, but it will have to be refilled at some point.
As for how much food you guys will need to eat, Dwarmin's calculations seem good enough to me.
And as for kerosene burning time... Uh... *searches google* Oh no, maths! I hate maths!
...According to this, unless I'm doing something wrong, 370grams of kerosene can burn for 33 hours in a modern lantern.
Wait, no. Okay. I haven't used a kerosene lantern for years, but according to most websites a quart of it would burn for about four hours. That sounds fair- if not entirely accurate- to me.

And no-one really knows how long the trip will take. No-one has gone all the way through the Black Forest in living memory...

So, I took down the amount of tools (since we already have a few of each from the character inventories), one of the spare guns and the sugar and milk (which shouldn't have lasted long anyway ), adding just below 800 lbs of flour. It's not 1500 lbs exactly, but not much sleep was gotten last night night and my mind feels like mashed tomatosauce, and to top it off I earlier lost all the changed I made from an ill-timed "reload page" press.

I think this'll do, though. I'm keeping the weaponry in case of a rainy day, even though they're a bit costly. I guess that maybe we could drop the rest of the non-flour foodstuffs as well. Or at least the expensive meat. Should we?

A little variety in our diet goes a long way to not making us go crazy on the trail...but, it may be best to save the trip money expenditure on luxuries, and allow people to buy that with their own money.

I'm editing my char page to include some 5 pds of salted meat 5 pds coffee...for personal use.
