Your name is Dug, age 16. Your friend Mark suggested a fantasy game for you to play. But you never liked fantasy games. But Mark bet that if you don't like it he'll give you 20$.

    So, 20 bucks sounds like a nice number, so you put the game in your computer's CD drive. While it loads you decide to check the case out. You see on the back some instructions."INSERT DISC- TYPE A:/XANTH- TOUCH ENTER." Meanwhile the game seems to have loaded a command prompt.

There's nothing else on the back, so you flip the case over, And see a castle with a beautiful half snake half human woman, along with a goblin, an elf, and a human. Theres also the title, "COMPANIONS OF XANTH" across the top.

You enter A:/XANTH then hit enter. after a bit a little man appears, like a cartoon figure. He looks at you and says "Hi! I'm Grundy Golem. I'm from the Land of Xanth, and I speak your language. I'm your temporary Companion. If you dont like me you can get rid of me in just a minute. But first listen a bit, okay? Because I'm here to take your hand lead you through the preliminaries without confusion. Any questions you have, you just ask me. You do that by touching the Q key, or by clicking the right side of your mouse. So go ahead, ask.

You hit the 4 key, and Grundy says "You will be able to select another companion when you are done asking questions. And remember, you can ask custom question by hitting TAB then typing your question and hitting enter." Well, that was useful.
