Cheapest legal way to buy games
« on: August 28, 2011, 10:27:29 am »

So I buy a lot of games......mostly on sale, mostly on Steam. I just found this site intkeys.com that sells Steam redeemable(and other platform) keys much cheaper than other venues. It seems to be legit(ish) from what I gather. Check it out. I didn't use an embedded link despite the fact that if I got credit for friends signing up I would get free games. Maybe you should get your friends to use it?

Deus Ex:HR is $24.99 there and Dead Island pre-order is $30.99. Steam is selling both of these for $49.99.

The Witcher 2 for 15 bucks is pretty decent!

I have to say though I knew of this before I try to avoid these type of key sites. They come across as a bit iffy to me and I think I'd rather not take any chances.

EDIT: Read through the user agreement and didn't like what I saw.

Googled the site and found nothing but somewhat dodgy reviews for it and similar sites, i wouldn't really trust anything like it.
also lots of people saying similar to this:

Buying game software keys online isn't legit. Legitimate resllers sell the software with the software key at correct regional pricing.

The key sellers you're talking about participate in regional licensing fraud by purchases products from one region where it's really cheap and then resell them in another region at a higher markup but still lower than the legit price.

Using these keys may result in your Steam account to be disabled.

You're also shafting developers out of earnings heavily when you do this."

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

given the insight from the above posters I am locking the topic as I do not want any associated responsibility for anyone's accounts being disabled.
