Brook-drinking dwarves pile on top of eachother
« on: November 01, 2007, 12:03:00 am »

I designated my brook to be the water source since it's the only water left; all the surface pools dried up for some reason.  My dwarves will only use the bottom-left corner of the zone to drink in, so there's always 5-10 dwarves standing on top of eachother in the same tile all drinking.

I've set up multiple zones, but that doesn't improve matters.

My (2) Fisherdwarfs had this problems as well (in 32a), though I had channeled out that part of the brook first. Here's a rough guide to what the designated area looked like (I don't have the save anymore):

code:
.......~~
.@...7~~~
..7777~..
~7777....
~~~......
. = ground
~ = Brook
7 = channeled out brook/open space (I play with numbers for water)
@ = where all my Fisherdwarfs (the whole 2) stand
I have same problem with sand collection. 7 dwarves all collecting from the same spot. Not a pretty sight!
