Answer to PotL's riddle: (This would've been my guess before I read any replies.) The 2nd one is a Christmas tree and I'd say the 4th one might be Santa? But in overall, Christmas traditions or something like that...
I also wanted to see if I interpreted Tiruin's riddle correctly.

• Shining in the heavens - Quite obvious, heaven referring to the sky.
• With colors, that of a rainbow - White light consists of all colors which rain causes you to see separately in a rainbow.
• Seen and overlooked - Everyone's seen the stars...
• Yet Giants in themselves - ...But people don't really stop to think how massive they all really are.

And, damn, was also beaten to the snowman answer...

The last one that I had in mind was a Wiccan bonfire, but yule log probably would've worked better.  The Wiccan one was introduced mostly to give you a challenge and represent a lesser known section of holiday traditions.
