The very first thought, the first clear emotion to form in the infant dragon's developing mind, was boredom.
Get out of this shell! Finally he was out. He was Koraeleth, that was one thing he knew.
He looked up at the large form of his mother, who had finally freed him from his prison, and then over at the various other, scrawny-looking creatures she was releasing from their shells. They didn't look worth the trouble, as far as he could see.

Koraeleth stamps a foot and attempts to make some sort of noise, gesture, anything to show these puny 'siblings' of his that he is superior. Any of them that growl back or act aggressively towards him he plans to beat down.

( By the way, how big do you imagine a newborn hatchling would be? I kind of imagine them to be the size of an adult cow since even if they're hatchlings, they're still dragons.)
