Because they are easier to maintain, when you want to do other stuff the RP can roll on and you can return.
Setting:
Somewhere far out in the country is a little town, with some long spanish name, but everyone calls it Pickles, for unknown reasons. Pickles is near stagnation, the only "big stuff" is !!GENERIC COPERATION NAMES!!'s Research & Development thing, previously known for thei !!SCIENTIFIC!! breakthroughs in !!FOLK METAL SCIENCE!!, with their 3 head scientists Perry Poo, some guy with an increddibly long name including cartoon sounds, and some scandinavian dude. Otherwise its all boring stuff like coal mines and saw mills and other redneck stuff. Pickles is a real redneck town, with wheel tracks everywhere and monster trucks and big chested ladies and monster trucks and big chested ladies and monster trucks, did i forget to mention the ladies and monstertrucks? Oh also, Walnutmart and Pizza Ben.
