Try to have 2 (small) fliers attack a wolf from opposite sides (so it can only see one coming), and try to stage a psionic assault on the wolf at the same time to distract it.

A few questions, first off, what exactly does a crystal look like in 3D?
I know 2D it looks like this:
/ \
| |
\ /
But that's only 2D. Personally I imagine them to looks somewhat like a rupee from zelda.
Second of all, how thick (since we know their weight and height) ARE they (and are the large ones proportionally thicker)?
Warning, nitpicky math stuff below:
Third of all, the mass conversion is off. A regular weighs 1kg, while a large weighs 4kg, despite having a volume at least 16 times bigger (possibly 64 times bigger depending on how thick it is).
Forth of all, presuming that a normal is 1" tall, .75" wide, and .33" thick (and calculating mass as a square prism, which is making it a big larger then it would be), a crystal weighs 4kg/cubic inch, while lead weighs 185g/cubic inch, meaning that a small crystal is 21 times as dense as lead, something that would probably result in a large mass of it sinking through anything that's not solid rock.
