That vote was all I needed.
You place your foot over your weakened opponents chest, holding him down. You decide now would be a good opportunity to ask a few important questions.
"Who are you?" you ask, for starters.
"I don't have to bloody well tell you, do I?"
At that, you draw out one claw, then rake it across his face.
"Ahhhh! You bastard. Alright, my name is Edward De Voloux. Happy?"
"Quite. Next, you are obviously older than I am, how long have you been a vampire?"
"80 years..." he says with some reluctance.
"Interesting. What land do you come from?"
"I ain't telling ya." he says, even after you slash at his face again. He's a bit tougher than you think.
"Fine, have it your way. A different question, this time, who was your maker?"
"I will NEVER tell you." even under torture, this man is stubborn.
"Hmph", you grumble, "this is getting annoying. Who are those barbarians you were consorting with earlier?"
"Sorry, can't tell ya." he says, with what appears to be a grin, which is strange, considering you just tore off his ear.
"You stubborn fool, answer me! Why are those raiders here? To what purpose?"
After a few seconds, he decides to save himself any further pain.
"They're planning on launching an attack, not on the castle, though. They intend to get the help of the Mole people, tunnel under the castle, and sneak past."
At least he's a bit more cooperative.
"Good. Are there any other vampires here? I want names."
"None. I swear."
He's telling the truth.
"Grrr..." you mumble, this is really getting on your nerves.
"Alright," you say, "Do you know anybody named Francis?"
What made you ask that? Your maker's been dead and burned.
At least, that's what you think.
"I ain't telling you nuthin." he says, a bit defensively, which is worrying.
"You miserable blind bastard, you WILL cooperate. Who do you work for? A group, what?"
"And why should I tell you that?" he asks, with a mocking grin.
Enough is enough. You snap his neck, and bit his jugular afterwards. You taste the strong blood, and you feel yourself grow stronger. But then an interesting sensation occurs. Your skin feels...faded, and your muscles grow tighter, and tougher. You feel your face, and more parts have become quite pronounced, such as your ears, cheeks, and fangs. They're like a wolf's fangs. So are your claws. On the other hand, this mutation ( you pray that it's temporary ) makes you stronger, maybe even faster and tougher.
Which is a good thing, because the human barbarians have finally caught up with you, spears, axes, swords and torches in hand. You smell around 12 of them, all of them heavily armed. This could be interesting.
The interrogation didn't reveal that much, even with the +10 bonus I gave to torture, some of Edward ( he will always be stoneface to me ) 's rolls were too high. All you got were his name, along with some minor stuff.
How will you deal with these unwashed barbarians?
