What's with the "..."?  Now that I think about it, I use those three periods a LOT in my turns.

To me, they imply weak emotion or sarcasm. But that's just me. And only in some cases.

It's turn time

You miraculously notice a potential weakspot in your adversary's seemingly impenetrable arsenal.  In order to exploit it, you'd best use your taunting skills.

"You're momma's so fat she-"

What.  WHAT?!

Erm, try something else.

"How does it feel, knowing that you'll never be able to see?  How can you perform the True Hunt, on smell and hearing alone?  You're not even a vampire at this point, you blind bastard.

Better, a bit harsh, but not bad.

Unfortunately, he doesn't take the bait.  You'd best step it up.

"Even humans will laugh at you, sure you may be stronger, faster, but even a paralyzed, weakling human will have something you can never hope to have.  Not in this un-life, not in the next."

You can see his mist features growl and sneer, you're getting under his ( misty ) skin.

"If someone ever writes down the history of every vampire that's walked the Earth, it shall show you as "Stoneface the Blind, a weakling who was defeated by Drake Mordant".

That did it.  He flies towards you with alarming speed, but you were expecting this.  He solidifies, and you duck to avoid his tackle.  Wheeling around, you bring you claws to bear.

Claw meets cold flesh, and you rend his arm.  He falls back, eyeing you.  You see the stone spread across his skin, but peculiarly, it stops at his mangled arm.  To his obvious surprise, the stoneskin recedes, and he looks like a normal vampire.

Unfortunately ( I say that a lot...) he's faster than you would have first expected.  He must have caught your movement out of the corner of his eye.  He was only marginally faster, but that was enough.  He grabs your arm, and throws you at the hill, and you hit the rock with a "thud", and fall.  He approaches.

I edited the turn.  People did not like the fact that I had cheated, so I edited some stuff.  I re-rolled for the taunting, it actually matched the sequence of events perfectly, so I didn't need to change those.  The only part that I changed was the last combat part.  He got around 5 higher than Drake on Random.Org, and like you guys wanted, I had Drake fail, but not die.  Hope this is better.

...So we cheated? Would have preferred losing to cheating, but oh well. I'll give a suggestion when I wake up.

Crap, now I feel bad, do you guys want me to do something about this?  Replay and rewrite the turn ( I won't make a new post, just edit ) using the actual rolls this time?  Or something else?

If you're willing to fudge the rolls, there's no sense of urgency - we can try anything, do whatever, because we know that there'sno lasting danger to us.

How far back you want to go is your call - you can display the consequences and then go back to just before this turn, for instance, if you don't want to redo too much after a true death. Alternatively, (my preferred method) you could have the death be lasting and permanent, declare "No save scums," and deposit us at character creation to try again if we fail really badly.

Of course, having it go badly but not fatally so is always a good option.

I edited the turn, not that much, the reason for that is in the post-turn commentary, in bold.  I hope I have made amends.

Looks good from my point of view, but I didn't see what it was like before. One gripe though, how can he see out of the corner of his eye when he is blind?

Well, in any case, his defenses are down! We can now attack with impunity, but first, we need to keep our head. He is faster now, but still blind. Throw a heavy rock behind him when he gets close and when he is distracted, rip the tendons in his legs out.

Yes! Do we gain his abilities if we consume him?

No, you can't get both mist walker and stone skin abilities.

You can get one of them, though. ;)

Alright, guess it's time to diablerize , whatever that means

He approaches, a look of sheer arrogance and hatred on his face.  What a fool.  You play possum, not moving, until he brings his hand closer...

Quick as lightning, you bite at his wrist, as if he were a human.  Your enemy, realizing what you are trying to do, tries to pull away, but your mouth locks onto his arm, far too tightly for him to escape.  His blood doesn't taste like human blood, it isn't sweet, but it's very strong.

Your adversary, still trying to pull away, smacks you on the side of the head, and you fall back.  You jump and scale the hill with surprising speed, even for you.  He tries to regenerate his stone exterior, but the effect stops at his wrist.  The wound forces the stoneskin back, back into his chest.  He is vulnerable.

While he is doing this, you feel an odd sensation.  You feel as if you had aged a 100 years, in a single second.  For humans, this would be a bad thing.  For vampires, quite the opposite.

Choose, which of his powers will you take, Mist walk, or stoneskin?

I did roll properly, I didn't cheat, once again, I am sorry for that.  Please forgive this foolish GM for his idiotic mistake.
