I'm not 100% sure (but I'm starting to delve into the code the last few days), usually about 7+ days.

It's probably a random 50/50 roll which starts after a set number of days or something. Maybe after 1 week?

I'm also wonderig exactly how I get my liberal's converted to Conservative, so I can then kidnap them?

Apparently they will be reported kidnapped...

 A) if they manage to yell on kidnap site during kidnapping. They will cause "kidnap alaaarmm" too.
happens only if hostage has been taken by a liberal who has no weapon *and* they encounter some people.

 B) with increasing probability each day. No kidnap can be reported like that until 5 days of captivity.
Each day starting 5th, can be reported with (linear) increasing proba. 100% sure starting 18 days (*very* unlikely considering probas compounding).

(was quikfind, could be a day off for dates and might have missed a case)

My question was actually about how to lose my own members so I can kidnap them back and torture them? Kay12 and others talk about this, but I've never had any Liberal converted away, so I don't know how or when this occurs.

I'm fine with kidnapping the enemy already

Nyx was answering the previous question. ;p

Judges, CEOs, Eminent Scientists... anyone with a persuasion attack that adds Wisdom can convert your characters if they run out of juice to lose. Why would you want to do this, though? To reduce Wisdom? Wisdom's biggest threat is that Judges, CEOs, Eminent Scientists can convert the characters in combat if their Wisdom is too high. Kay12 talked about it in the context of trying to get his founder turned into a sleeper, I believe, but that turns out to be exceptionally difficult or impossible, due to the fact that recaptured Liberals will be marked as missing since the day they first joined the LCS. It's a bug, but all it does is block a weird exploit that doesn't really make sense from a real world standpoint anyway, so it's not one I'm worried about.

It might be worth making situations where you have to rescue or kidnap back ex-members more likely. To make more varied game stories.

e.g. CCS kidnapping your members who it can catch would be a great addition to the story, and if you didn't locate and raid their safehouse within a set time, they could use interrogation themselves to convert that person to be a conservative CCS member. This could happen to liberals who are out in public (but make it a damn low chance per day that anyone get's taken, and with a daily timer which ups the chance each day towards a (small) cap, the get's dropped back to zero or below when someone get's kidnapped).

This would require a new site special "rescue" for the CCS, but there's already something like that for the prison isn't there?

If that was in the game, it'd make getting your guys back from the CCS more of a common thing in the game, so it'd be worth looking at the other existing bug to make that work.
