Played through the demo just now. Seems like a decent game, if not overly simplistic - "mindless" describes it well, but that works for it. It also seems rather easy, but that might just be the first levels.
If I liked games like this more, I might buy it. Does anyone know how long it is?

It has a decent length for it's type, and it has a second storyline/playthrough with a different character after you beat the game. Also a super secret level to find.

Yeah, sorry, I'm not really good at describing this. It's best to just check out the page the demo download is on.

You're obligated to love a game because it directly copies another game?

It's not exactly a direct copy when I look at it more closely, but it is really close.  And yes, I'm obligated to love a game that looks like somebody tried to recreate my absolute favorite childhood game onto the computer.  It reminded me of GH as soon as I started watching the video, and that little part confirms that somebody who worked on it is familiar with it.  At least as far as I'm concerned.

Besides, I don't have a sega genesis anymore, the sequel was awful, and I'd rather play it on the computer with a mouse anyway.

Well, I own Gunstar Super Heroes for GBA.  It has certain qualities similar to the original.  I can't remember much about it, because I quickly decided it wasn't worth playing.

IIRC that was a remake. It was pretty good except for the chick levels.

Been a while since the last post in here but I have a problem with noitu love 1, which is; in vista it doesn't appear to remove focus from the app properly which basically means I can't talk to anyone in MSN while I play it unless I want to hear the music constantyl flipping on and off. because apparently hitting space bar five times or so in rapid succession takes you to the game over screen for some reason. Anyone happen to know a fix?

Great game otherwise.

I just realized what's interesting about the names Noitu Love, and Xoda Rap... Think about it, it'll hit you.

But yeah, ok game, not brilliant, but not that bad either. It is kinda shortish though.

Yeah, I think what it boils down to is if you like beatemups/platformers and don't mind it being a bit generic as far as plot and such goes it's really a good game, and looks/sounds nice to boot.

Also another question, how long is the demo? I was under the impression that it ended partway through stage 2, but all the demo link on the page says is that there's unlimited continues. I'd download it but I don't wanna get excited for it until I've got the money for it, which could be a while.

Yes, it ends partway through stage 2. The "unlimited continues in full" thing kind of confused me also.
There's also a short tutorial, if you want to count that.
