Noitu Love 2
« on: August 21, 2011, 09:52:18 pm »

Did a search for it but didn't find it, so figured I'd make a topic about it.

Basically, Noitu Love 2 is this mindlessly epic and fast-paced platformer. It starts being that epic from the beginning and stays that way all the way through. I played the demo and loved it, now I want the full game. Apparently each level is different.

I'm not really good at describing this. It's best to just check out the page the demo download is on.

Trailer here, demo download here.

I've been meaning to try this for awhile. It's the same guy that made the Iconoclasts tech-demo-ish game. I really like his artwork, and he seems to be pretty much on the ball when it comes to game design choices. Seems like he may have a bit of "writers block" at the moment though, sadly. Still keeping on eye on him though.

Looks like a pretty fun game, although I couldn't really see anything revolutionary in the trailer.

I have this game on my laptop but stopped playing for some reason (likely because I needed a better mouse). I'll have to try it out on my newer PC with a proper mouse.

Basically, Noitu Love 2 is this game more epic then Shadow of the Colossus. It starts being that epic from the beginning and stays that way all the way through. I played the demo and loved it, now I want the full game.

This is quite possibly the least descriptive description I've ever read.

looks like a standard platformer in the trailer, and how in any way does it compare to Shadow of the Colossus?

this must be a joke.

EDIT: I forgot to add that it doesnt look the least bit fun to me.

Yeah, it looks like a fairly standard shootin'-platformin' game, if slightly flashy and fast-paced.

I like the passive voice in the trailer. "Robots appear to be attacking the city! We're not sure yet! It's possible they're just aggressive deliverymen!"

Yeah that is a pretty bad OP when you're comparing it to a game of a whole other genre. The game makes me think of Alien Hominid and Metal Slug, only not as good.

I'm not flaming or anything, just sayin'

Tried the demo mislead by promises of Shadow of the Colossus on the PC, fell asleep on the keyboard in 10 minutes, average (3).

Really, put more effort in the OP or at least don't lie :)

Edited the description in attempt to make it less misleading.

I don't think describing the game as "mindless" sells it very well. Also, "epic" has become overused to the point where it is meaningless; it tells us literally nothing about the game.

This is an absolutely terrible topic for a damn good game.

Really I mean what? What kind of topic is this? I was glad I got this some time ago on a whim because I liked the first game and thought this one looked even better.

Really it is, Noitu Love the original is like a kinda odd feeling mega man in platformer feel, and this is a fast paced almost beat em up plat-former thing. Awesome music too.
