Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup is pretty good.
done too. but it doesn't have a "story depicting the dungeon theme" and it's randomly generated, so rooms aren't with purposes...except making you die horribly.

ADOM. It's also more story based than other roguelikes I know.

...and it's done also!.
(in the sense of already tried and played).

Ever tried Arx Fatalis?
That looks pretty cool.

That DOES look pretty cool.  I might pick this up...

Well, you could try Demise. It's ancient (by videogame standards), but it's all dungeon. There is a story element to it, but I've never really pursued that. I just killed things.

Words to the wise: If you actually find it and play, the dwarves will fuck you right up. Don't go near their mines unless you like the sight of your own blood.

Minecraft and Terraria, but they don't have stories.

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

http://tower.sourceforge.net/

The tower is an unusual graphical roguelike, with some "fun" features.
