I have been ambushed by about 6 night creatures

why has this happend they never came out of there caves for me

During my night travels, I have been ambushed twice by those monsters (each time by a lone midnight creature).
So it happens, rarely, but it happens.

However, I was never unlucky enough to encounter 6 of them at once...

 Creatures you can be given quests for have a area of operations beside the lair/camp. I have encountered bandits raiding hamlets near their camps, and get ambushed by monsters away from their lairr. Think its the basic start of the army arc, wandering foes. Of course when you get a quest, and approach close to the site, your foes retreat to their base of operations.

But bogeymen are not the topic of discussion. It's the larger, full-time-existence non-immortal less-annoying night creatures they're talking about.

Everyone has been ambushed by bogeymen to the point they just don't wanna hear it anymore, and they always come in groups of 4-6.

Happened to me once.. Killed the spouse and offspring, and momma came for revenge. I'd imagine if one were more sucessfull, they might end up with a whole pack on their tail.

My point isn't that they are what he was talking about, simply that it is erroneous to say they aren't real night creatures.

This has happened once when I was fighting bandits, lions and bogey man :P. It was an awesome fight!
