((Actually, more of a general purpose academy))

Find out what the most pressing concerns of the populace right now...
[2] Your academy debacle made you a laughing stock. They do not feel you are reliable enough to hear their problems!

The regiments would be at the middle set and I just realized I need ships. Actually only hire 1 middle set cavalry and use 15 ducats to start a shipyard.
[3]-2+15/10 = 2: You failed at hiring enough builders to get work off ground.

3th Noble Cavalry: Nominal Strength 2. Deduct 5 ducat from your treasury. Upkeep is 2/quarter. You've reached your noble limit.

I roll a 7 and all I get is 1 florin a quarter! Oh well, I'll be back, economics!
15f to Oriana, if accepted, and a guarantee of cheap horses.
15f go towards even more city improvements, perhaps a fountain, perhaps more livable space, perhaps a library which holds books that the illiterate populous can't read. Anyway, 5-10f go towards the beginnings of a road connecting Lencil and the forests.
You got retconned to +2. No, it is not like I cave into your demands, but because I missed that how small your current capital is.
In gameplay terms, This 15f will be a PIK loan. You can deduct extra cost and upkeep for cavalry from this amount, for a maximum of 5f each quarter. Of course, you can renegotiate the terms of the loan.
[6]+15/10-2 Your craftsmen worked admirably well. Too well, perhaps. You got a library, new housing, and a grand fountain complete with water supply. Soon bankers bang on your door demanding 10f, as they went over budget. Town income +1/quarter. Debt of 10f, interest 1f/quarter.
[4]+5/10 There is already a road, but it could use a lot of upgrades. With 5f, you surfaced part of the road. Traders now make the trip in less time. Trade tariffs+1/quarter.
((Please share the burden by doing your own bookkeeping. At least, assets, regular income, or the such.))

Action- Talk with the owners of the building. Haggle the price down to 3 or 4. Also ask if they would have any use of a bank.

(Would I be allowed to request funds from father?)
[3] You asked to lower the price. They tell you they won't bulge from their listed price of 1f. As you are left in confusion, Selima quickly reminds that a large proportion of the cost comes from labour. ((You really need someone to take care of your accounts.))
[5] You found a reminder from your father. In fact, he is willing to provide you with some funds; one of the main purposes of this branch, he stated, is to let traders to cash in their bills of exchanges. This would require a steady supply of funds from him. He is willing to loan money, at a nominal fee, to you, should you resell this to customers on the continent. He expect you to start business by the next quarter, though.

(dang-it i have upkeep)
Try to find quests and work for our mercenaries and write a letter to the Prince about finding work with Lencil
((You can Disband your troops if you do not want to pay upkeep. Keep in mind that they are also a source of income. In addition, Lencil might not be the best place to find employment for Mercs for its current lack of industry, to be honest.))
If you accepted George, Prince of Lencil (it is probably part of his title)'s offer, He may not allow your men to find alternative employment. Nothing bars you from adventuring around Lencil, as long as you responded to the Prince's call.
((This is to provide a balance for battle-readiness and your ability to have fun. In addition, You are now an adventurer! Hooray!))

"Julian, why does this man persist in calling me 'Prince'?"
"Well, he was very influential, but I think the real problem here is that he thinks we have a fur industry, which we don't."
"That's minor. My name, however, is a big deal."
"Sir, we're not barbarians, you still can't behead people for calling you the wrong thing."
"Fine, but you're certainly not getting the last word here."
"Aren't I?"
((Its your job to assign extra jobs to them.))

If you're willing to accept a very casual player (posts only every few days), I wouldn't mind chancing this.

[6] A visit to a gambling table in Talaca became a fight after mutual accusations of cheating. With your concealed axe, which is an unusual weapon for a place of fine gentlemen, you turned that into a one-sided slaughter, as gentlemanly sword skills do not stand well upon a more practical weapon. You collected coins and jewellery worth 20f from the corpses - they must be incredibly rich, but they are because it turned out a few of the once-prospective heirs to Talaca were there.

In short, you become a fugitive.

Is it still the same quarter we started in?

Is the Free Company really free or does it still need to be paid upkeep?

Yes, though it looks increasing like we are going to move on.

The Free company does not respond to your orders. This is why its "free".

GM would like to ask all Sovereigns whether you would like to move on to the next quarter.

I vote yes. I'm out of cash. I'm just going to assume we get money at the beginnings of quarters...

They are not under your command, nor you are going to pay them. They just refuse to be peasants again, happens to be there, roaming around, maybe seeking employment, maybe finding something to loot, but you are not actively doing anything to them. Stupid it may seems, it was the norm of the days.
Vote acknowledged.

Let's move on.
Noted.

The money is wasted on posting orders, procuring materials that later got stolen, etc. Ah, those were the days.

You magically got 1f. Considering you won something in Vegas, in modern terms.

As the owners left, Mahi felt confused. 1 floring was a wonderful price. No need to haggle on that.

"Why does it say 5 florins on all these papers Selima?"
"Mahi, you never did bother to look properly. Most of the cost comes from labor."
"Oh, well bringing those two was stupids...Wasted a bottle of wine too. ah well, just purchase the building from those gentlemen please. And hire some staff too, I can use my guards as security and myself as an accountant. Maybe that will lower the price down."
"Perhaps Mahi. I'm going now Mahi"
"Yes...yes..."

As she left Mahiveno put on his cloak and drank a bit more wine. He looked over his papers and went off in to the stables and got a horse. He left for the palace.

Actions- Buy building ,Hire staff (use guards as security and Mahi for accounting), Meet with king

Roderigo sat down on the edge of the card table and wiped a bit of blood from his forehead with the back of his hand.  The short-handled axe hung loosely in his other arm as he surveyed the ruins of the gaming house.

"Ah, damn it.  Not again."

Okay... three dead marks by the craps table, one on the dart board - lucky throw - three quarters of a mark by one of the poker tables... ah, arm still on the table.  Hey, he had a full house?  Lucky son of a bitch!  The guy at my feet - seriously, who tries to issue a challenge in a barfight? - and the two sprawled over my card table makes eight.  What about the bouncer?  Ah, there he is messing up the bar.  Ooh, speaking of bars...

Roderigo pushed himself off the table and stumbled over to the bar.  He perched on the end and peered over at the girl crouched behind the woodwork, her dress stained with second hand blood.

"Sorry about the mess, Belle.  It was Belle, wasn't it?  I'm afraid I have a terrible memory for names, do correct me if I'm wrong.  'Course none of this would have happened if um... Benvolio?  Malvolio?  Anyway, the guy in the blue shirt, sorry, mostly blue shirt.  None of this would have happened if he hadn't tried to slip in a sixth ace.  I mean I'll grant I shouldn't have tried to slip in the fifth but I'm pretty certain they weren't counting when I was doing it.

"Anyway, I'll have a bottle of scotch to go.  Belle?  Bottle of scotch?  It's right there, you just need to reach up and get it.  No?  I mean I grant you've had a hard day but this is supposed to be a high class establishment, I expect a certain level of service.  Is this how you treat all your customers?  It's 'cause I don't have a 'sir' in front of my name, isn't it?  I am sick and tired of all the discrimin- ah, I'm just joking.  You have a good lie down girl, I'll get it myself."

Roderigo reached over the bar and picked up the bottle of whiskey.  He pulled the cork out with his teeth and took a swig.

"Ah, that's the stuff.  See, you might not be much service but you stock good spirits.  There's hope for this place yet.  Now, I'd say I'm a bit short right now but-" Roderigo pulled a small pouch of florins out of the bouncer's pocket "-I think we can both safely assume I'm lying.  So how about you just put it on my tab anyway?  That alright with you?  Not going to be a problem?  Swell.  Well, I'll just finish up here and you be a good girl and stay put.  Should be gone in a couple of minutes and than you can go call the guard.  Maybe make it ten minutes, in case I forget anything and have to come back.  Thanks for the whiskey."

Roderigo raised the bottle in a sort of light salute and then began the process of stripping the dead of whatever valuables he could loot quickly.  Once he was reasonably sure he had everything he dared steal, Roderigo slipped the short-handled axe into the concealed holster at his back and slipped on one of the less bloodied noblemen's coats before heading out the back door.  At least one witness would have made it away and, banter aside, it was time to take a holiday.

Buy a fast horse and a change of clothes - something less bloodstained at the very least.  If nobody will sell me one or the gendarmes are too close, steal one instead.

Ride towards Lencil at a fair pace, stopping at inns or their equivalent along the way for supplies and other necessities.

Gamble at the inns, ideally luring marks with a few florins and then betting portions of the jewellery.  Avoid cheating unless I'm almost out of a game, but if there's any element of skill play hard.

While waiting for the next quarter, I've decided to do some diplomacy.

"I think I opened a pandora's box by saying that Lencil was open to all immigrants everywhere."
"Why, sir? With more people, we can better utilize the land."
"With more people, there are more people gathering outside my door complaining about their petty problems."
"You should have more respect for the traditions of Lencil. People have been coming to ask the Prince for advice for centuries now."
"Well, perhaps that needs to be changed..."
"Perhaps, perhaps not, but we should really get to more important matters."
"Fine, fine, what's up for today."
"Well, I've an idea for expansion..."

Propose an alliance with Talaca against the Despotate of Epicea with equal division of those lands.

Cancelled due to bigger problems. (like an impending invasion.)
