Wheelsabbeys was founded next to a brook called "The Taut Virgin".

Yeah.

My theory is that dwarven cartographers are very lonely people.

Dwarven Science: We do what we must, because, we're bored.

Every few miles, [the dwarves] stop the cart.  One of the dwarfs (sic) gets off, digs a hole down below the dirt layers, licks the bedrock, and then they know exactly where they are.  It's called GPS: Geological Piquancy Sampling.

From an old worldgen cookbook post:
This particular world (Thur Niral, "The Universe of Portent") has one human civ, "The Greater Empires", still struggling on an isolated peninsula.  They have one town, "Furyslopped", with a population of 37.

Of course, technically they were the greatest civilization remaining in the world at the time...

One of my current world's names is Camade Asada, not far off from "carne asada" (steak in Spanish).

Not entirely unrelated, one of the migrants to my current fortress in Camade Asada was a Proficient Butcher, High Master Bone Carver, and Competant Surgeon. Needless to say, my dorfs have a communal fear of the hospital quarter.

I've got this fort that's now in its twenty first year and doing great. The only downside (for the dwarfs at least) is that its 91 females to 13 males, 8 of whom are children. One of my glassmakers, a worshiper of the godess of death, birth and rebirth, make an artifact  green glass weapon rack: Organpants the Gloomy Urges. I laughed for some time and then felt sorry for her. It even has an image of said godess laughing.

I've also seen a hilly area called The Outrageous Hill. I chuckled and thought "Heheh, anything goes on that hill."

or maybe Valve goes out of business because they invested too heavily in something which then fails - like, say, human civilization.
Alternatively, initiate strife to refuse additional baked goods, and then abscond.

When looking for a suitable fortress location in one world, I found a mountain called the Pinnacle of Adventure.  Sadly, I never got around to climbing that mountain with an adventurer, although I think I may have the world sitting around here somewhere...
