"I cannot speak for Sir Far's actions - I was not able to see him in the storm, let alone whether he assisted me. If he did assist me, as he claims, I can see no way I could have managed to fail as poorly as I did, unless some foul magic were to twist a success in my keenest skill into a failure.
"Indeed, as stealth is what I am best at, I am extremely surprised that I should have achieved a failure at all. I would like to ask some questions of my own, since you have raised the issue of sabotage. Whose presence is not known during the confrontation? Sirs Elensar, Victus and Sane are accounted for, as I understand from your version of events - they were present during the negotiations.
"Sir Adrian we see has sustained an arrow stroke. I cannot account for his presence prior to being shot, though. Sir Far and I were both out of sight, though my action is well known by now - I threw a knife, and the man has a knife in his chest. This leaves Sir Eously and Sir Quarcaine. Sir Eously was working to nullify the storm - what about Sir Quarcaine? I assume the two of you were together.
"I cannot see how Sir Adrian could have interfered with my efforts - but then, I could not see Sir Far assist them either. Both Sir Eously and Sir Quarcaine were distant from me, so surely could not have interfered either. Assuming, of course, that magic cannot be used to hinder my attempts from far.
"I assume Sir Eously to be quite innocent, since he is the one asking all the questions here. I would like Sir Adrian and Sir Quarcaine to remind me where they were, who they were with, and what they were doing."
