IIRC If you try to eat certain things, (specifically things that aren't edible yet don't give the "no, that's disgusting" reply if you try) you get the message "You lick the [item]"

and then you havve to travel with your tongue stuck to the item until you get to a warmer biome.

besides large amphibians and reptiles using it to hit stuff, it could be possible to grab someones tongue, and then uppercut them in the jaw. Could cause decent pain to the target.

Hilarious. Dodge behind a metal statue as a frog forgotten beast makes a tongue attack against you, then hack off it's tongue as it struggles to free itself.

I'll support this idea.

For the laughs I think that this is a good idea. It's simple to implement.
