Here's a question:

When we're done gathering materials and starting production of X01s, what do we do with our 2 X02s? Should we upgrade them to X01 by feeding them to the nanofactory?
I don't think we could upgrade them really, since X02's are completely different from X01's. That said, I think we should shut them down and make X1's to replace them and have them as a backup that could be restarted if all our other forces are destroyed.
EDIT: but we would need additional power before it would really be smart to have them replaced

He means deconstruct them and feed the resources into the nanofac.

Oh, in that case my opinion is that we should keep them offline and shutdown for backup bots just in case there is a problem that kills most of our X1's or something equally dire.

oh yes, i agree to it. But only after getting moar workers.
So we'll have:
X00 "lonely": main command nanite.
X01 "assembler": standard worker
X02 "Discount assembler": cheap carbon-only worker
S01 "nanomanufactorum": assemble nanites.
S02 "computorium": increase pop cap.

hmm, one thing we might consider before making further "stationary" structures: we're nanoscale. Unless something is deliberately fastened to a surface much more strongly than needed to keep it in place it can presumably be carried around by somehting else. We should make structures with this in mind, so that we use anchors that wont break to badly if we do this. Some kind of reusable glue would probably work best. (think along the lines of the stuff on sticky notes.)

its on a nano scale just stick it in a flaw in the surface thats a bit bigger than it because nothing is completly smooth

contact forces also act as a POWERFUL glue between EVERYTHING.
Just give all these structures some legs.

Okay guys, let's stick to the four options we're given. I'm sure forsaken1111 has all kinds of cool ideas in store that we don't need to go too off book for.

True, but I don't mind the discussion. It gives me a larger pool of ideas to choose from. I should have time later today for an update, and this weekend is pretty open for me.

Oh, in that case, discuss. Just make sure you vote for one of the 4 choices too ; )

Lets just design a nanite to transport large structures. We only need a comparatively small number and we can keep the stationary bonuses...

How about a

H01 Heavy Lifter:

It could function as a transport for materials, nanites, or even small "Stationary" things, so long as the building was built on it.

H02 Ultra Heavy Lifter:

This would be something capable of moving a nanofactorum. As long as it was originally build on it.
