I assume since Tack's posted two people's turns above that he'll just edit that post to put everyone's turns in, so this will still be below that. Therefore:

I'd just like to point out that there is a definite reason for this extended postponement of work.
Mostly assignments, and other stressful things.

And that it may well end sometime in the next few days.
Thank you for your patience.
For those with impatience, What did you expect from one of MY games?

A few things.

1. Flexibility will be replaced with Agility next turn. No changes to gameplay- it just sounds better.
2. This turn - Minor landmarks have been added. Major landmarks were added at the beginning of the game - They're the ones that take up an entire district. I couldn't be bothered making a legend, so if you don't get what something is (which is likely) post here or pm me. Either or.
3. Next turn I should have the first level recipes up.
4. Turns are almost all up, by the way. On the previous page. So go ahead.

I'm going to be brainstorming on how to rework combat so it's more fluid. I'm pretty annoyed at a few points of the current ranged system.

If anyone has some ideas, tell me.

War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

How are you running the rolls right now, Tack?

I'd imagine that combat against zeds with firearms would need three different types

Melee - The zombie is touching you shit shit shit shit
CQB - The zombie is such a position that it's close enough to break concentration (it'd probably change from person to person, someone like me would probably keep concentration to 25m or so.)
Shooting range - normal engagement range, most people aren't going to miss many shots at the range that their weapon is designed for. Effective ranges are made in mind for people seeking cover or dashing, not those shambling.

I'd make concentration and detection play a major part. As more rounds are fired and as zombies move closer, concentration decreases, meaning that accuracy decreases (or a moment to catch one's breath must be taken). Notice would be how much zed attention is drawn. It shouldn't be an on-or-off switch, it takes more than one shot for the human ear to be able to place where a shooter is, complicated by the fact that we're talking zombies, and firing in an urban environment is even more ticklish sound-wise (lots of buildings to bounce sound-waves about).

That seems very complicated but at the same time, very real. Up to Tack though i guess. Might have to add in something there about the mobility of the weapon. For example, its a touch easier to turn and face an enemy if you're holding an M9 than say... an M60.
